As for the team.. I guess Lillyman replaces Sipley if good to go (from bench), if not Sipley probably suspended so Sao I guess. Or Ali - this is selfish, I'm going to the game and I want to see Ali. Hingano for Leuluai if TL unfit, otherwise Hingano maybe for Roache (if there are still doubts about either half) - I say maybe because it's one of the few games left I'd be wary about debuting him in.

Oh, and Wright (or Allwood? probably Wright though) for Maumalo.

Maumalo is NOT shithot. Refer to the roosters rd 15 thread we were posting about the game, Maumalo mistakes are picked out, he didnt have a tidy game.

If Napas a pussy why does he smash everyone? Including Maumalo who looked liked nothing when Napa smashed like he was nothing.

Maumolo was so bad on defence. In the play that lead to him getting binned, the kick by Friend? was well telegraphed but Maumolo didn't anticipate in the slightest, turned like an oil tanker and then had to commit a professional foul to stop them scoring. It was horrible.

But not as horrible as Vete heading to the defensive line with his back turned and SKD shooting through his gap. That was just shocking and should have cost us the game.

Also he Maumalo twice failed to contest 2 bombs that were put up. He didn't have the speed to get there. His hit ups weren't something out of this world. He just got involved. Joseph Manu had a better debut.

The reason why I replied to this post is, no he doesn't catch all high balls. Think he only took one and it dropped straight under him practically.

I'm no Wright fan but he craps all over Maumalo in basic winger duty.

Wright, if nothing else, delivers an honest days work defusing bombs, holding his edge and running hard. Doesn't have any X factor about him, won't do anything flash, but he knows his job.

Ken has no clue wtf he's doing out there on the edge. He'd do just fine as a back rower, good strong carries and metres. But that's it.

But hey, this is McFadden, I sense a love affair coming.

Yeah.. Maumalo's bad in the air (didn't even try a couple of times), worse in defence - and if you're looking to Cappy's judgement as a marker of quality... well, that's an appeal to false authority if I ever saw one. He actually came out last week and said Maumalo deserved his call up on form... the week after he was pretty much worst on park against one of the bottom NSW cup teams.

Wright is by no means "shithot". He's below average. Makes him significantly better than Maumalo.

I'd take maumalo over wright too. Came back strong from his sin binning and didn't hesitate to get involved. A bit of faith from the coach could do his confidence wonders over the next few weeks

I'm leaning towards Wright over Maumalo in such a pressure game at Cronulla, as Wright's had a couple of season's there.

Then again, the coach will be aware of how much we miss Manu's hit-ups returning kicks. Maumalo may fill those, very big, shoes.

I'm glad it's Cappy sleeping on this stuff and not me.

Monday night with Matty Johns was reviewing our game against the Roosters just gone and in the Roosters highlights guess who was in all the ROOSTERS highlights?..yep Ken Maumalo. It shows him missing tackles, tackling people without the ball, missing an ANKLE TAP on Issac Liu and getting burnt from SKD to break the line before SKD chucks it out. Why was he diving and getting left behind by a 13 in Liu? Hes supposed to be a winger!

Hes on ALL the Roosters big plays getting beat!! Shocking!!

Actually if you ask Napa he'd probably say that he hit the bloke with everything he had and he still got back up and kept playing, and he respects him for it. You're talking as if Napa made Maumalo into some sort of bitch, he didn't, he hit him with a good shot and knocked him over, but Ken didn't drop the ball or look overly rattled by it.
