I remember differently. Maloney, along with Mateo, were the few playmakers who kept committed every week during those horrible times.
Maloney certainly didn't play particularly well, he kept getting hammered by forwards when left 1-1 by his mates and was a walking penalty (as usual). So his numbers were terrible. But he *was* trying from memory, Johnson in comparison wasn't even attempting tackles.
