One of my favourite Bluey-isms was in the pre-season when he said every position was truly up for grabs... I can't find the exact article, but here was something similar

Elijah Taylor shapes as a natural replacement for Luck, and the club has plenty of additional cover in the back row, even with Steve Rapira already detailed to bolster the propping ranks.
"There is competition for positions there and that is what we are after," McClennan said.

If there is truly competition for positions, and some are performing woefully, why do you not make changes???? Can I sense some irony in all this?
Bluey was on Radio sport not long before the pre season games saying just that...and saying all the other things that sounded really good.
I've gone from sticking up for the guy to sitting on the fence...I'm so close to turning to the dark side now. I'm just so gobsmacked at the no changes after those two games that were so awful they bordered on embarrassing.
My ONLY thought playing devils advocate-is possibly after being on the road this is a last chance for the guys to pull finger, at home. We'll see I guess, if there's yet another shocker and the usual suspects picked if so...

Oi! The Dark Side is only accepting people who have bookings. Get in early or the bandwagon will be gone.

We're not worthy....!

My booking to the darkside will be phoned through next week- It relies upon no advancement or progress on the shit we've been subjected to over the last two weeks, and then a head in the sand approach and no change from the coach for the next game.
Get the feeling we'll all be stoked to get to the bye...! This year is kind of like a bad case of the runs atm...good when it stops...

I like our chances this weekend. South really dont look particularly strong on paper especially with Roy and Sam not playing. Its also a home game, and after two bad losses, I think we'll come bouncing back quite strongly.

You heard it here first.

Bluey is indeed selecting on form....awful form.

Its been a pleasure gentlemen, but with this crap going on and my recent introduction to the torso try, I'm done. Stick a fork in me indeed, but back Super 16 or whatever it is now...

I know things look bleak and our coach is not all there in the head but switching to Union is the craziest thing I've ever heard. Just watch other NRL games instead.

this. Don't ever lower yourself to such disgusting levels of self harm. If you need help, talk to a close friend or family member. Good luck.

The way we have gone in the last 2 games it's hard to feel confident about this one. Just hope we can turn it around, we need this win so badly.

Go the Warriors!!! Do it for yourselves and the fans.

My only hope is that Souths will turn in a Souths like performance. If they play half decently I don't think we can win given whats happened in the last fortnight.

Got a good feeling about this game. Big mistake to let Ivan go...but think we will win this weekend...and win well.

Locke returning is a huge factor, but it might not be enough. Both he and Hurrell will be really under the spotlight in defence.

"While coach Brian McClennan might have been tempted to wield a more hefty axe after two such abject displays, the reality is he doesn't have the replacement personnel at his disposal."

... I found this quote hilarious given all the 'depth' that was heavily talked about last year.

we dont have much in terms of backline depth - particulary any players that have played NRL.

Fish, Hurrell, Inu and Godient if you want to consider him at all for halfback would be the only players out side of FG that have played in the NRL.

Thanks. But what do you do when your second favourite team is the Tigers?
It just gets more bleak.
And Hitman, I stringently avoid all family and friends, they are evil Unionists...
C'mon warriors, do it for me, the darkside is strong.

Hold on DMC.

I see a light on the horizon.

Do you mean Bluey "I will pick on form" McClearlyhasnoidea finally realises his pot kettle blackness and selects Inu in the starting line up for the rest of the season?

Does it belong to the train that is our season, and is it hurtling towards the edge of the cliff?

I reckon it's not actually on the horizon. It's the beautiful sunlight of the top 8 shining down into the deep cavern of misery which is our season. A light we can always see, but never hope to reach.
