The Pompey incident was so innocuous. Hope he gets off.

I think Webster will play Pompey/CNK if he can. I think he may play Capewell in the centres if he needs to.

If Capewell does return this week as planned, he’ll presumably slot in for Pompey?

CHT has to come back in at 6, where he should’ve always been soon as he was available again.

Where that leaves CNK I dunno though. Obviously wasn’t the only one to have a rough night, but FMD he had a shocker.

Watching him take the short runner twice in 4 minutes to let in Kennedy was the most maddening thing I’ve seen in a long long time. Then another bad read only saved by DWZ’s intercept, and then again missed Wilton which gave them momentum to score with Burns.

IMO that effort was worse than anything Ali has dished up defensively, but Webster’s loyalty will probably see him retained somewhere.

Heard talk on the radio this morning about TT acknowledging that he has a deficiency defensively at fullback in terms of organising the defensive line and moving the numbers around etc

Will a conservative coach look at that spot as something to change ?

WTF... isnt that fullback play 101 though? As in bread and butter for any fb at any half decent level, let alone first grade?

Was he just copping to a sub-par performance on the weekend, or was he really admitting a fundamental weakness in his overall game? If its the latter I'm a bit staggered tbh.

There was talk last season, that CNK was kept in the role because of his strength in this area

I didn’t hear this myself, just what they were talking about this morning, think they said he was talking to Daryl Halligan but I get the sky coverage off my TV asap after fulltime

That just weakens the team, he's not a centre's butt hole these days and he's a defensive liability.
Not my preferred choice either, but if it's not Capewell then its either Leka, a debutant, or CNK switches sides with Ali coming back on his normal right side.

But given what we're now hearing re: TT admitting a weakness on numbering defenders, I'd personally want CNK back to fb. If we cant even number up right then the line's under pressure regardless of who's in it.

Which then leave either Leka or a debutant... but debuting a youngster v Melb in the state we're in would be incredibly harsh. Leka maybe? My recollection of him out there isnt great though.

Capewell may be the lesser of many evils...

Post match conference the way Webster is talking he is seeing what is going on, but he doesn't seem to want to change it.
CNK is not a centre.

i kinda like how our forwards match up - especially our prop rotation. call me an optimist though.
