Because Ben Smith has been outstanding coming of the bench as a versatile backrower that can defend and show lots of aggression. I'd love to see Mateo back in the side, but you can hardly argue with the current 1-17.

I think he's much less chance of playing FG again this year than Mateo.

KK's main hope is that there is an injury - seems Robson has earnt his place on the back of his defence and organisational game. Seems to work well with Mortimer and Hayne generating most of the attack.

But surely Mateo MUST stick his head back into first grade soon?

Good on the boys who've been getting the job done though!

I believe Hayne is carrying a bit of a niggling injury and Smith can move to centre and reshuffle the backline if required.

Happy with that line-up. Will expect to see KK and Feleti named and playing at Wenty, for match fitness before returning to firsts.

Feleti would make a good bench inclusion v panthers, if he plays hard for the whole Wenty match. Wellar Hauraki should obviously stay at Wenty until he leaves the club, whenever that is.

KK is unlucky with his timing, but one injury among our 6-7-9-14, and he's back into the mix anyway. For now I wouldn't change the combos we've got, they're working a treat.

you might think i am mad, but if the GF was this weekend, yes i would leave Feleti out of the side. Match fitness is a big factor and he's been missing for a long time. I'd like to see him eased back in over the current period, either this week or next week so that he can get that match fitness, but i completely understand why DA would not be just slotting him straight back in. Our defense has been a huge factor in the revival and I'd say there's be some concern around Mateo becoming a break in the chain in defence.

Cant argue with the team and DA won't drop anyone for mateo and K.K and rightfully so. You cant just drop someone that has done the job for the last couple of weeks because 'MATEO' and 'K.K' are back... that's utter bullsh*t and not fair.

I don't mind playing Mateo and K.K at Wentworthville for a week or two, but I absolutely hate the 'we are winning so why change the side mentality'. A winning side can always be improved and it will be through those improvement that see this team progress as far as they want.

And you know what ain't fair, being one of the shining lights of the team the last few years, getting injured and then not getting picked in first grade again. You should NEVER lose your position in the team through injury.
