Well I trust we will be hearing no more silly talk about letting Charnze go now. Rog isn’t getting any younger and his hammies won’t get any less injury prone.
And it's not like - what year was it? (It was his first year with us) - when he went down in about round eight in Wellington and it wrecked our season.

Or the final in 2018 when he also went down and we had no chance to beat the Panthers, after competing early

I still think I wouldn't resign CNK, although to be fair that's a decision for down the line as he has two more years on his contract (you're saying don't let him go now, which I agree with).

CNK is perfect for that sort of grinding, all effort game on Friday where he makes metres, and defensively organises us. If we can make a habit out of winning those ones, as we used to under Ivan, then sweet, he's the man. But I can't help but think we need more playmaking from our spine, which we currently have very little.

Walker goes. I wonder what changes. Does Afoa come into the side this week? Or Martin?

1. Metcalf to 6, TMM to 7, CHT to 14.

2. CHT to 6, Metcalf to 7, Healy to 14.

3. CHT to 6, TMM to 7. Healy to 14.

I think Webster has the bench rotation for our forwards right.

Or to get real funky... Leka to 13, Laban to the bench

EDIT: I meant Leka to cover lock when Clark comes off, Laban to cover the edge

Wouldn’t Vaimauga be better suited to cover lock?
Yeah probably.

I just like the idea of Leka coming on with his late footwork and leg drive with about 10 to go in the first half, and the spine hunting up around him on his carries
