Team v Titans

9 times out of 10 that Smith tackle isn't penalised. Only arguably a penalty because there was a stoppage and a chance to watch replays.
Since player welfare is now paramount, first point contact with the head is normally a penalty, even I'd played is slipping.
Smith jumped to complete head shot.

Problem was Maumalo didn't sell it and bounced up to play the ball.
Obviously rattled as he went to play the ball. :)

Maybe I'm just extra pissed that it was him, lol
Penalty was sufficient on the day, but much like they go lighter on guys sent off or sin binned it should work in reverse.

Smith was not penalised and not punished. What is stopping him repeating it again this week?
Where is the player welfare? :)

He should have got some points or fined or a boat taken off him.

I am not sure resting Luke for a week will help all that much. He needs surgery

Not sure about that. The instant I saw it, I thought it was a penalty and a pretty obvious one

From the RUMOURS we hear, surgery is required but what do we really know. We've been told before that Luke would be out, only for him to play on that very week.

Like I said before - I think we can beat the Titans without him. I would rather save my best players for when we play the best teams, especially if they're not AT their best and could do with a week off. In saying that, Kearney will probably pick him for this week.

f**k that's almost a full strength team.
Through Pulu in there for Lisone and were close.
Would love a strong showing to bounce back after a hard fought loss

Would love one against a strong team, not the Titans. Everyones expecting us to beat the Titans. This game is all about how much we win by and even if we win by heaps, it'll all go back to - we're supposed to win this game anyway.

Yeah when you get injured, you get NAMED to play right? lol

Thats usually what happens when youre 'injured' right?

Like you said - you DO NOT KNOW or have any idea of his injury.
:joy:
I never said I had any idea of his injury, just pointed out that injured players get picked and play on all the time.
Dugan and A Reynolds would never get picked again if coaches only select 100% fit players all the time.
Sam Burgess almost caved in half of his face in the South Sydney grand final and still played on....was probably a b.s. injury tho aye :joy:

Hey you draw first blood when you called me "doc" in your sarcastic way so I gotta return the favour :)

Yeah you're absolutely right. Loads of players out there who are playing under some niggle. Theres definitely a lot of speculation around Lukes 'injury' as he is an important part of our team. I just feel he's so important that risking his 'injury' is a huge risk for a game we should win easily thats all. Him being named tells me that its not at all serious if theres one at all.
