Team vs Cowboys

For the Wenty side, it`s interesting to see Tom Humble at five-eight and Karl Filiga as a starting centre. Filiga played well in the second-row against Newtown on the weekend, I thought. I`ve seen two Wenty games this year, and must say that Humble does not strike me as a natural fullback. He keeps gravitating to the 5/8 area and seems to do his best work around that area; so it`s good to see him get a chance there this weekend (courtesy of an injury to the half, Waters, I think. Meaning that regular 5/8 and captain, O`Grady, moves to half.) Humble scored a neat incisive try, showing pace off the mark; made a few positional errors at fullback, I thought, and dropped a clean ball near the end of the game because he was trying to do two things at once. The lock looks good, too. Is it Tim Robinson? Very impressive.

having thought about it, it makes perfect sense given that Guru doesn't travel too well because of his back and the fact that it is a short turn around.

If that is the case why would we be taking him up to work with the medical staff? Why not leave him at home, the team will only be gone a few days anyway.

Yep and Gould then proceeded to bag his defence. Before that game the other side had been a major drama, although admittedly
more so in games Burt had missed with injury (which is the reason I would say grothe has been our best back so far)

That moron Weedler said on the news he is going in for surgery on his knee.

Yep, and he was actually standing on Parra Stadium so it may actually be correct for a change.

I remember in previous years, Grothe would not travel to NZ either. Just a comment.

Absolutely, but that wasn't what I was querying.
The statement was along the lines of 'Guru doesn't travel too well' and my query is 'Why are we taking him up now should that be the case in this here?'
I'm satisfied he is injured and could do with a week off to get over it, but taking him to NQLD with a chronic bad back, a knee complaint and sore ribs seems odd to me.

Maybe DA is foxing, and Grothe will end up taking the field this week in Hindy's second row spot?

I think we'll really miss his go forward for the Dogs game but then again Inu has had some pretty good games against the dogs.
