Maybe a little left field but with the amount of injuries maybe something like this

1) Austin
2) Richards
3) Anasta
4) Lawrence
5) Nofo
6) Siro
7) Brooks
8) Galloway
9) Luani
10) Taupau
11) Thompson
12) Akoula
13) Blair

Bench
14) Ava
15) Halatau
16) Gavet
17) Moses

Anasta should be able to defend fine at centre and by moving Siro to 5/8 maybe Nofu will see a bit of ball. Halatau and Luani share the hooker role. Sure would be really nice to have an NRL grade winger on the books like, I don't know, Koro from the Melb Storm :sarcasm::roll:

Austen was close to our best last night and with Rowe out injured it would not surprise me if Austen remained at fullback.Hopefully Lulia is not selected he was dreadfully bad yesterday.Akoula also limbed off so he maybe under an injury cloud for next week.Santi impressed me with his workrate in defence, he tackled non-stop.Potters selections for next week most likely will be pretty conservative.

I say give Moses a run. We are fielding a nothing side anyway. Give him some experience.

Come to think of it Moses has to be selected as cover at fullback. Austin had a great game with only a few errors but if he is named at fullback it may be different pressure this week come game time.

Austin will be peppered with bombs all game V Panthers. In training he needs to constantly work on his catching, along with his ability to chime into the backline. It's gonna be a big week for Blake, I'm sure he'll still be able to sneak in some time to get a new tattoo.

Our defence while it did the job against Canberra can still improve, the one area that stands out is that the opposition are not always put on the ground or rolled onto their backs in tackles. The Roosters do this very well and practice this in their warm ups,the first two tacklers take the ball carrier high will the third tackler knocks the ball carrier down by coming in low around the thigh area, which than allows the other two defenders to roll the ball carrier onto his back.

I agree, our wrestle is good but still needs to improve somewhat. Most importantly however, we need to focus on f**king making 1 on 1 tackles. They are the most important aspect of defence, they are what decides a try from a try saving tackle. Bodene & Lawrence, and other times Brooks & Blair are the serious offenders. They need to rapidly remove the arm-grabbing, and at least lead with the shoulder so they can act as a speed bump.

Would love for Hitchcox & Fine to get promoted.

Both deserve the chance and would not let anybody down at all.

1 Blake Austin 2 David Nofoaluma 3 Keith Lulia 4 Chris Lawrence 5 Pat Richards 6 Braith Anasta 7 Luke Brooks 8 Martin Taupau 9 Joel Luani 10 Keith Galloway 11 Curtis Sironen 12 Bodene Thompson 13 Adam Blair Interchange: 14 Dene Halatau 15 Ava Seumanufagai 16 Sitaleki Akauola 17 Jack Buchanan

As I predicted, Lulia comes in instead of blooding a rookie. Possibly Moses as a late inclusion? One can only speculate.

Lulia, luani, Buchanan ffs

Buchanan and Lulia were the nsw cups WORST players last week and they get rewarded with a first grade gig

Awesome example to the rest of the squad

That is a pretty weak looking squad to me. I'm not sure how good a team we can field though with Woods, Farah and Tedesco out.

We need Sirro, Brooks & Austin to play really well.

Potter's Plodders.

His team selections each week confirm my opinion that he is the most dour coach of the modern era. It is remarkable that a fairly exciting player himself could be so devoid of inspiration as a coach. Despite my misgivings about his coaching ability, we're winning games and he deserves credit for that. If nothing else he has instilled a better work ethic in the team which has helped is to prevail in the tight games.

WTF, how are these two plodders even considered for FG,even more astonishing when you consider Koro and BMM were released and these two duds were kept.

Assembling a competitive squad this week was always going to be difficult. However, I wish Potter took the opportunity to experiment with new players/combinations. The selected team won't get within 24 points of a Panthers outfit brimming with talent and unaffected by injuries and SOS. Guys like Buchanan, Luani and Lulia do not belong anywhere near first grade. Not now, not ever. But we have a host of promising young guys who would dearly benefit from first grade experience with a view to cracking the top grade in the coming years.

Potter takes his plodders to a new level, without doubt the most uninspiring team ever put together.I have said it many times,Potter picks teams that will bore the crap out of people. We all know he had some issues with injuries etc but this team is a joke
