Team vs Panthers

Neither of those players are serious options at this stage of their careers, Lawrence's game will improve once the 5/8 role is assigned to someone else and he gets some quality ball at the right time, not when the only option is the sideline

Austin will be peppered with bombs all game V Panthers. In training he needs to constantly work on his catching, along with his ability to chime into the backline. It's gonna be a big week for Blake, I'm sure he'll still be able to sneak in some time to get a new tattoo.

Moylan to steal a couple out of flakes hands and make him wish he stayed a Penny .

Lol giving Lawrence space.... you couldn't find enough space for him in a sevens tournament .

I honestly reckon he might go okay if he can just hold onto the ball and we put some decent players around him but this is pretty funny and spot on at the moment.

If Soward is out it will be a plus. I'm hearing he is. I still think we can win because he have the home ground advantage.
Go Tigers at LO.

These kids coming through are superstars. Give them a go

Superstars like Buchanan, Luani, Lulia, Anasta, Galloway, Lawrence et al? Don't go get me wrong, we have plenty of talented players unavailable this week or overlooked by the super coach but the team that has been named is very short on talent. Potter's intention this week seems to be to minimise the defecit rather than press for an unlikely win. I think he'll be satisfied if we get within two or three tries of them.

We may as well pizz into the wind (as opposed to our mouth) because Potter seems like he is going to go with Lawrence and Anasta all season.

It seems like he has a mind set that old and experienced is the way to go...all I say is look at Kyrgios in the tennis. Young kids can prove you wrong and you just never know how good they are until they are on the big stage....

Lawrence isn't old.

However, he needs a reality check. Put him on the bench in nsw cup & tell him to earn his fg spot again.

We are long odds what ever team Potter goes with so why not go with some young legs with talent and see how they go. We all know how Lulia and Luani go and thats bloody slow.

Said before Potter has done a great job changing the culture of the place, but I doubt he is the man to turn our young talent into a great football team. He is just way to negative in his approach to team selections and team tactics

I suppose we're in sixth place and as such Potter will stick with the more experienced players in order to keep things on track. You'd probably see the kids get a go if the season goes to shit.

This is what concerns me Charlatan we are actually about 9th when you factor in byes for everyone. Teams around us move up and some with a better points differential.

I'd like a change of cattle in some positions simply because we are not scoring points....we must improve our for and against soon (hard ask with our run home) or we run the risk of missing out simply because Potter has failed to put a team on the field who can score.

I'll admit the more experienced players have been defending well but this is the Catch 22 for Potter. Does he want to go into a game and try to out defend other teams or do as has been the case in the past with Tigers teams and try to outscore other teams.

Fact is we are not going to out defend the Roosters or Manly so lets outscore them....

1 Blake Austin 2 David Nofoaluma 3 Keith Lulia 4 Chris Lawrence 5 Pat Richards 6 Braith Anasta 7 Luke Brooks 8 Martin Taupau 9 Joel Luani 10 Keith Galloway 11 Curtis Sironen 12 Bodene Thompson 13 Adam Blair Interchange: 14 Dene Halatau 15 Ava Seumanufagai 16 Sitaleki Akauola 17 Jack Buchanan

As I predicted, Lulia comes in instead of blooding a rookie. Possibly Moses as a late inclusion? One can only speculate.

Brown and Buchanan have been named in the NSW Cup rep side

So I assume Buchanan drops off the bench, Akoula possibly to come in?

I don't disagree TT, I'm theorising as to why Potter hasn't made the necessary changes yet. I can see the value in the theory of changing the side as little as possible in order to maintain as much stability as possible when you've got so many injuries as well. The reality is we will not be as competitive while we are this hard hit with injuries.

I still think we can win with this side , but it will have to be on the back of good field position as I cant see anything in way of long range tries. A good kicking game and defence pressuring them into mistakes may allow us to score if we can keep the majority of play down their end. Will take 100% commitment by everyone for 80 minutes tho.

Anasta needs to replicate last weeks game, in the very least.

Kicking game is going to be vital, we need to turn them around everytime, or at the very least make them stop to pick the ball up.

No bombs to corners, grubbers all day and try and get as many repeat sets as possible.
