Parramatta: Peni Terepo left the loss against Souths with a pectoral injury but the extent of the injury is still unknown. If he he’s unable to recover it’s expected David Gower will make a comeback from an ankle injury to replace him on the bench. Joseph Paulo is also a candidate to fill the vacant bench spot following some strong form for Wentworthville in the NSW Cup. Will Hopoate is the only Origin player for the Eels and it remains to be seen if he’ll be named at centre or fullback, assuming he’s named at all.

If Peni doesn't play I honestly find it difficult how the NRL would allow another forward to play ahead of Joseph Paulo

We will have had to switch the exemption to a forward (e.g. Alvaro) following Peni's season ending injury I suspect.

You really have to ask yourself the question why the club would have a 2nd tier player front the media 3 hours before being displaced in the team.
