Team vs Raiders Round 19

I'm chopping and changing over this game in my tipping. On the one hand, I think the Raiders are a better team on paper than us and it's Canberra, and they're in form.

Wouldn't say they are in form. Last week was a good game for them, but the 3 weeks before that they have been terrible. Canberra winning will depend on McCrone playing well or not IMO. Campese seems to go a lot better when McCrone plays well.

Looks like NBN covered the fans day today at EAS...and Stone mentioned that he wants to see Tolar and Mullen do a bit more at training on Friday, though he saw enough today to think they will be fine.

Yeah I'm struggling to figure out who I should tip...if the Raiders had've played terribly again last week I would've definitely picked us!

Before anyone else gets their knickers in a knot - NBN did not say, infer or hint that Mullen was in huge doubt.

He was in fact quoted as saying he is a 60/40 chance.

Ah well, I thought he said 40/60 chance...obviously got it wrong. But seriously give me a break, the possibility of Dureau getting a run is enough of a reason for anyone to become distracted and tune out.

I post on forums that are full of troll threads and posts, and get a laugh out of a fair few of them. However that is easily one of the worst attempts I have seen in a while.

Damn I missed it.

Could have at least moved it to the troll thread..... that is my all time favourite thread.

It was terrible. Which is probably why it was decided that it was not worth keeping in the troll archives!

The weather itself will be almost identical to EAS last Sunday, except that there shouldn't be any brief rain. So just some thick cloud cover! But it will be much colder...as the sun won't get in to help heat things up much, temps probably somewhere between 10 and 13 degrees during the game, with a solid 10-20km/h W breeze just to add that little bit of bonus wind chill that we all love to get...how does that sound :)

Bloody brass monkey weather ,because i,ll be down there..

Weather update: it's sh!t cold down here. Been raining the past 2 days and doesn't seem to be clearing yet. The wind is icey as usual.

Seriously, to the good people travelling down her, expect a 10 degree or less day with an icey wind, and probably overcast/raining.

Sorry there isn't better news to report.

Fire works?

Porn?

Prostitution?

If you love scraping ice off your nuts in winter or peeling them off the inside of your leg in summer?

People have all sorts of weird reasons macca. Nothing on this planet would make me live in that god forsaken wasteland though.

:nwave:

Fireworks are illegal now. The fun police took them away.

Canberra's a great place. It's only 90 minutes from the beach, 2 hours from the snow, and is a fantastic place to bring up a family.

It gets a bad rap from the rest of the country, but that's fine by me. The relatively small population is part of its charm, and the less people who know about the secret the better.

LOL @ "only" 90 minutes from the beach.

Be nice JM, places like Sydney, Wollongong, Gold coast, Newcastle, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Townsville, Brisbane, Bundaberg, Gosford are up to......well, they all have beaches within 30 min of the CBD.

Carry on

Queannbeyan. That is enough reason to put you off coming here. Deadset, that place should have a dome around it, that only opens from the outside.

I used to enjoy going visiting Canberra but given I was living at Cooma at the time there was no real contest....cold, drab and like Nuffy says the land of fake smiles and....

Anyone travelling down: The weather has cleared up it was a great day today but with an icey wind. However it's always colder at the stadium so it'll be a cold day tomorrow.

Also don't expect the locals to understand the rules. They boo and scream in shrill bogan tones only Canberra/Queannbeyan locals can perform on every tackle, regardless. They make Souths fans look good.
