Here is a thought, last week when we were in the oppostion 20, who would you rather have the ball ... Tim Smith or Robson... and I don't care about tackles and when they have the ball, if you don't score you don't win

This is an important few weeks, historically between weeks 5 and 10 are when decisions are made for recruitment and retention. Like most I am not sure the team names 1-17 will be the run on side.

I could just as easily ask you - would you prefer: Daniel Mortimer or John Sutton? (Or Mortimer/Keating as opposed to Marshall, Bird, Roberts, Sutton, Luke Walsh, Lockyer, Barrett, Campese, Lyons or Saints little 5/8?) Because it would be no less valid a question. If we had a 5/8 worth his salt, Robson at half would be fine. This is turning into a witch hunt.

Not happy just read the lineup.

How has Robson kept his spot and Inu been given the boot?
Is Anderson watching the same game as we are...

Can anyone give me a good reason why Robson is still there and Inu given the boot?[/QUOTE]

Yep. 1. Inu was Burt`s replacement. Burt is now fit. Burt is a better player and is in fantastic form. Therefore, drop Inu.
2. There isn`t another half in the club who is playing better than Robson at the moment, so who do you replace him with. If Keating and Mortimer are good enough, they will step up. So far they haven`t. End of story.

This is true. I don't rate Robson but I like his game better than Mortimer's. Having one is bad enough, but with both of them, we are no hope.

Yeah, but you have to bring back Ben Smith and Luke Burt. For mine, Burt is playing better than Inu, and Smith better than Horo.

But Inu is playing better than Tahu.

Why isn't Tahu given the chop?

Because he is Timana Tahu and he is the CEO's signing?

I do think he'll get better and be a qualityplayer for us, but on form, is clearly the weak link atm in the backline.

Two dropped balls hurt us very badly on the weekend.

I thought that might have made him better. It certainly gave him a deeper voice...

You dont become a bad coach overnight.Lsst year everyone was saying he is our savior-In ando we trust. And now everyone has turned-lol
At the end of the day we sacrificed depth for talent.Sometimes it works and othertimes it doesnt.
Lets just hope that these guys dig us out of this hole which isnt that deep yet...Cause as Ando said we dont have an endless pitt of players.
-Lassallo-Horo-Mitchel-Inu are probably about the only ones he can consider at this stage

These are basically the same players that got us to the GF last year. Sure they are playing pretty poorly at the moment, but there is nothing to say that they can't buckle down and turn it all around.
Lets not give up just yet...

Given their status as 'marquee signings', I think Tahu and Poore are pretty safe. Being buddies with the board and ceo would help too.

Because he is Timana Tahu and he is the CEO's signing?

Yep.

Thing is, everyone was clambering for the opportunity to get on their knees during the "Revolution". Has it now turned into a Rudd/Obama style flop?

Is it a case of jobs for the boys? If so, will it come back to bite us on the arse?

The premise of your question is wrong.

However, I think the board and Ossie, for the most part are doing a good job. I dont agree with everything, but they've done plenty of good.

The signing of Tahu?

I was pleased when it was announced, and still think he will be a good player for us.

I just question ATM whether he was needed given our shortcomings in other areas.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing the Cronulla game as yet, but i didn't think Tahu had been playing too badly so far this season. I saw the ball he dropped over the line, but many players have made big stuff ups like that before. One cost us a Grand Final if i am correct. Thats a little more serious than dropping one over the line in a round game.
