Team vs Souths

Well we all know that there won't be any decisions that Hages will make that will be harsh. That takes balls to make those. Kidley will be in the team, and apart from the injured blokes from last night, the same team that played last night will back up next week, possibly with the inclusion of Johns. Even without Johns, we surely can't lose to Souths, surely ...........................

Don't bet on it. You said yourself that there would be no unforced changes -- that is the plan at Newcastle... there has never been a plan B.

The tragedy is that Hagan actually made a bold move for last night's game -- he put Mullen into the starting team. Unfortunately, after losing by nearly 50 points, that's about as adventurous as the team selections will be this season -- that will be enough to convince Hagan he was right the first time and should never had diverted from the softly-softly approach to selection.... and to our detriment.

Imagine what damage this bloke will reek at Parra.

He'll destroy them, particularly with his masterstroke of Kidley as 5/8th.

Parra fans should be sh*tting themselves. What chance Parra punt Hagan before the 07 season after seeing his performance this year.

So we have:

Perry - likely suspended
Quinn - possibly suspended
Tolar - injured
Woolnough - injured
Thaiday - injured?
Johns - injured?
Brown - injured?
Carmont - injured?

Is that right?

I don't think that Quinny will be suspended. Sure, it was an absolutely stupid thing to do, but I don't think its a "suspendable" offence

Quinn will be very unlucky to be suspended for that. It happens every week. Carmont went off with a leg injury, that's when Thaiday came on at Fullback, and Seage went to wing. Wooly is being checked for a fractured eye socket. If that is cleared I reckon he'll play, didn't look real flash though.

And listening to the radio this morning, Bedsy might have a hand injury, but he's going to have it x-rayed this morning. It just keeps getting better doesn't it ......

Ok, this is the team I would pick:

1. Milton Thaiday
2. Brian Carney
3. Matt Gidley
4. George Carmont
5. Anthony Quinn
6. Jarrod Mullen
7. Andrew Johns
8. Craig Smith
9. Danny Buderus
10. Josh Perry (don't think there was much in his either, if not, Luke Davico)
11. Steve Simpson
12. Clint Newton
13. Reegan Tanner

14. Brendan Worth
15. Todd Lowrie/Luke Davico
16. Riley Brown
17. Kurt Gidley

A few radical changes there I know, but these injuries don't look good.

Actually I think the point that roopy was trying to make was that with the players that are in Premier league infront of him, it would be better to get Snowden out playing rather than warming the bench.

Snowden was dropped to Flegg purely because he was the only guy in PL that was young enough to play Flegg (in the forwards).
He was the form prop in PL IMO.
He needs a lot of game time, because he has played very little prop till this season (90% of his games were at second row).
I think it is time to throw him into firstgrade and tell him to aim up.
He is a big game player, and I think he will respond by giving us 30 or 40 minutes of his best - which will be too good for Souths.

I would like to see Snowden in first Grade this week and like Roopy said he was the form prop in PL so i say give him a shot.

1 Seage (i think thaiday will be rested with his knee)
2 Carney (un-f**king-fortunantly he's been getting sh*tter every game)
3 M. Gids
4 Carmont (if injured Tigh)
5 Quinn (dont think he's been sited has he?)
6 K Gids (Hages Wont Move Him)
7. Johns (if not Walsh.. haha I WHISH.... Mullen)
8 Smith
9 Buds
10 Simpson
11 Lowrie
12 Newton
13 Tanner

14 Davico
15 Woolnough (if out Worthy)
16 Brown
17 Cooper/Snowden i dont rate coops just doesnt make an impact..Snowy mite do sumthin

And reason i got Simpson in forwards is cause i dont think theyd have davico starting a 1st grade game so quickly.

If Johns isn't there we will lose next week to the Bunnies...

 I guess you're right- Knights couldn't even beat Souths with Johns last year!
