Robson back to the halves...ok, fair enough but KK isn't the one who deserves a benching...

KK was already benched last week.

Look - Mortimer has been rubbish - but he's still a better organiser and involver of others than KK.

I'm sure that Robson will be starting this game at halfback - I don't know who I'd put at 5/8 if that was the case. Probably KK over Mortimer I suppose... but then again Mortimer's 5/8 play over the last half of last year was quite good.

As for someone suggesting Humble at half - it'd be the same problem with picking Mortimer at half - a natural 5/8 being put in an unfamiliar role. At least Mortimer has been 'learning' how to play half for 15 rounds so far...

Biggest problem is that Mortimer, KK and Humble are all 5/8s. IMO Humble will be the best of them at that position, he has a more 'direct' running game than KK, a far superior kicking game to Mortimer and a better developed passing game than either. Defensively he's surprised me too (although KK and DM are quite good in that area).

Gents - you do realise that you are playing the Warriors, who are notorious for losing these sorts of matches? If we do win, we would have worked bloody hard to do so.

If you can't beat us this weekend then you should hand back your franchise.

Kris Keating you mean?

He's been pretty awful in his own way for the lat 5-6 weeks.

Just runs himself and never looks to do anything for anyone else (enjoy it Dogs).
Mortimer looks hesitant and uncertain all the time - but at least it seems like he's trying to play within a structure.

again, i agree with everything old man is saying here.....KK has let the contract talk and being picked for City go to his head IMHO

also, i know its harsh, but why build around a bloke who is not going to be here next year? Mortimer will be and beyond...and although i admit he has had his share of problems, i still have faith he will come good

I`m growing tired of this argument. In my opinion neither Dan Mortimer nor Kris Keating would make a five-eight`s bootlace. I think the real problem is they are both just not very good players. Full stop. If you or anyone could name me just ONE five-eight or half-back in the NRL who is genuinely worse than either of them, I think I`d give you a prize. They are HOPELESS!

Mate, neither of them could organise a bloody paper-clip!

Both these players form, has been less then desirable, but they are both young and still learning.

They are both playing in maybe the most important and most criticized positions. They were thrown in the deep end because of circumstance, and the team nearly pulled it off.

I think your criticism is a bit harsh. Im pretty sure one of these players, if not both, will make a name for themselves.

Tim Smith??

I reckon KK could make a great centre. He likes to run at a gap and then offload. He could be Jennings like tbh.

I'm not trying to start an argument but who do you think is a good player from Parra? I agree with what your saying though I don't think Mortimer is a very good player but I'll say it once I've seen him as a hooker.

So last season at 5/8 you're saying Mortimer was HOPELESS? (emphasis yours?)

I challenge you to go and watch him play last season - he did some really nice things as a rookie 5/8.

I'm disappointed with his halfback play, but watch his 5/8 form at the back end of last season again.

O Hanlon has great potential, runs hard at the edge but he needs to look for the offload. Several times against the Broncos in the NYC he had arms free and support and didn't even look.
