You're apparently well qualified to judge. We'll just have to wear it then.

Congrats on last year, good luck tomorrow night.

Well I dont know what to make of the game, we didnt deserve to win but I still cant accept that was a fair try. We showed the usual traits of not being able to win as favourites and not being able to win from infront. I guess theres always next year as they say, altho I have a feeling we will be on the slide down from here.

You guys will win this easy but then you will run in to a very big wall called melbourne storm and I don't really know if anyone can beat them. I guess if you can grind out like manly did other week you might have a chance.

Seemed like I was watching a replay of the St George game. One team with all the possession in the 1st half and trying hard to hang on in the 2nd when the other team got a bit of ball.

I accept the try was awarded, I can't not but I find it hard to understand the ruling. If your forward momentum is stopped and you have had a reach for the line and placed it on the ground (forced) isn't it then a case of playing the ball? I know there was no one hanging on but there was some one standing in front in effect holding the mark (Moltzen) from where the ball was first forced. If you were 20 metres out and stood up after that and walked forward I am sure (having had the ball forced) a ref would consider the tackle had been made.

Anyway, history now...

Tackle is only completed if the opposition player has hands on him. I couldn't believe that. There were at least 2 - 3 tigers there and not one reached out and touched him. Was a bit surreal. When I first saw it I though double movement. Couldn't believe my eyes watching the replay.

The warriors until 78 minute were basically get raped by these devious referees.

Isn't karma a bit*h?

Benji scores a stroke of luck try against the Dragons and the Warriors score a stroke of luck try against the Tigers.

Yeah, I first thought it wasn't a try, until I realised no one had a hand on Inu-he wasn't held-so had the right to reach out and score. Quick thinking by him.
But commiserations and best of luck next year. As I said in another topic I have a soft spot for the Tigers who have been good to us down here in the SI of NZ.:)

This reminds me of last week when Benji scored that first gift-try. There were 3 players around him and not one of them tackled him when they could have easily done so. In their minds they thought it was obviously a knock on so they stopped playing. The lesson here was, 'play to the whistle'! Your boys last night, most likely tired and not thinking as clear as they should have, did not play to the whistle. That should never have been a try.

A small part of me thinks you have received your just-deserts. The refs have really helped you get here and they helped you out last night as well. Let's be honest. some of your wins of late should never have happened. But that's the game. You accepted those wins and celebrate them. You have to accept this loss and move on.

As my back-up team after the Dragons, I still have lots of faith in the Tigers and thank your team for some really entertaining footy this season. ;-)

What a bizarre game. No rhythm to it at all. f**king refs well and truly ruined it.

We got beaten twice.

The first time was when Mateo scored on the back of that first dodgy penalty - got them back into the game.

The second time was when we took the two points on the back of that other dodgy penalty - we were never going to protect that lead all the way to the death.

Anyway, that's football. Was a pretty decent ride this year...

Wonder why the ref blew his whistle after the first grounding.

I guess to send it upstairs? It looked obviously short though. And I don't think having the ball touch the field whilst still in control of the player usually stops play.

Also, is you display pic supposed to be a Bill Murray LOL face? Because that is awesome.

I think the ref intended to blow the whistle after the first grounding but it ended up being simultaneous to the grounding. No reason for the players to stop. There really was a lot of crowd noise at the time anyway. Again, the players should have put a hand on him. It all happened so fast though that it's hardly fair to sit back and judge. It just happened.

I can't post links yet so add the http etc to this

For the record, if you were speaking directly to me, I support the Panthers, but don't mind either the warriors or the tigers. I was actually a little annoyed because they were the only two teams I liked at all in the finals and now that one has eliminated the other it increases the chances of another, "less likable" team taking out the premiership.

Great game, though I admit to cheering for the warriors by the end because the refereeing had become a bit obviously one sided.

The Tigers got by far the rub of the green with the refs last night with some of the calls that against the Warriors being quite bizarre. So don't try and suggest that the Tigers were hard done by. :sarcasm:

Okay, I wont.

There were crazy calls all over the park, but when Mateo got pulled up for his shirt grab on Moltzen I actually started to wonder if one of the ref's had a couple of weeks rent riding on the result...

When I said "the ref's ruined the game" I meant it. I did not say "the ref's cost us the game". See the difference?

I watched the replay this afternoon on Fox and only did that after some of the calls this morning on Triple M.

The Beast did kick out at Ryan in the tackle before the bomb went up but not too sure if it connected - dosen't matter now.

The penalty for the strip on Utai - bad decision there ref, Utai dropped it.

The run the ball play on the 5th by BM that gave the ball back to The Warriors what were they thinking at such a critical time in such a critical game, as dumb as - doesn't matter now.

The penalty to Moltzen against Mateo grabbing him, well if he didin't grab him, Tim would have had both arms free and ready to catch and run, I think it deserved a penalty in that case - doesn't matter now.

Did the ref blow the whistle when Inu first reached out? well the Fox vision shows the ref and his arm moving up but then the vision is on the mess on the game - Joey Johns said that he did blow and those 'side line eyes' are wired to to the refs call, I'd say that it was easy for Harriagan say that he didn't blow it because there was no vision to say otherwise - doesn't matter now.
