Team vs Warriors

Why do we need to monitor anything? There are plenty of players before him that fell apart at his age. Tim Smith, Brett Firman, Matthew Head just to name a few. All showed promise and fell away. Sandow is a big boy with a family. He is no different to anyone else losing their job in the real world. Take some responsibility and sort your shit out.

I think it's more an issue for the NRL and game as a whole then it is for Parra but as a 26 year old with a history of gambling problems be dissapointing to see him broke and homeless and right off the rails at 28. Not saying that would happen but the game has a responsiblity to not just chuck players out when theyre finished with them.

Which was also Lang's last year as coach before Madge took over.... says allot about what a coach can do to a side doesn't it!

Convenient argument, Sandow had 4 seasons at the club, his last 2 under Lang.
His first 2 under Taylor, who had taken the team, the season before Sandow, started to the finals.

Says a lot (sorry, allot?) about what a halfback can do to a side doesn't it!

Anyways - we can analyse the side all we want - it doesn't matter. The stats point to us winning.

WLL WLL WLL

We should win this and lose the next 2. Its in the Gods.

Play that sums up Sandow perfectly and happens often... Finds a hole in the defensive line, makes a break down field early in the set. Players stream down field for the next play when we have the opposition shot to pieces. Sandow tries a miracle offload while being tackled resulting in a knock on. My heart palpatations start again, I realised I've ripped even more hair from my head which I can't afford to lose. Brilliance and stupidity all in 5-10 seconds.

I'll give you another example of the same.... Last year V the Bunnies on a Friday night at Parra stadium... he kicks a 40/20, we get the ball back from the tap.... on the first tackle he tries a blindside speculator of a pass which gets intercepted.... Souths run up the other end and score on the ensuing possession...

Like my mate said at the time.... he's a gambler, quite literally (we all know that), and he's always going to go for that extra pass on the footy field that's not needed, the extra double on a poker machine, or 1 more card V the dealer in blackjack when he should stick... It's something he'll never quite be able to curb IMO.

It's nice to see that BA has nutted up and actually made changes to the side.

Let's at least be thankful of that, regardless of whether or not we agree with those changes.

he could have very easily just put in the same side as last week, and copped a bagging for that too.

I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and see if these changes pay off before chastising him about them.

I agree though, with Sandow being dropped (again) surely the career death rattles must be deafening in the Sandow camp?

That's an interesting thought at this time of morning, did you eat curry last night or did you hear the some where?

It's on the matchday blog on TheFilthySpammers because he has apparently trained with the first grade team all week.

However, it also says that Luke Kelly might be who Manly are targeting to replace DCE.

ZDC would give us a bigger threat in attack than both peats and De gois. I watched him at wenty with tepai and Pauli playing and he was always following them for an offload. Problem with our guys are they dont back up or sniff around the ruck much. So many times gower wants to pass and has too throw it 5 meters backwards.

I would not be against seeing ZDC for 25 mins off the bench lurking around guys like Tepai-Gower-Pauli. We all know DA is a big fan of the offloading game, and im sure he talks to BA now and than ;)

that's what wade and mortz used to do, sniff around waiting for an offload.

When I did a coaching ticket a few years ago the well known, ex NRL coach running it pointed out that that was what Billy Slater does so well.
He picked a random bit of footage from a Melbourne game and every set Billy was pushing up in support, even when there were three guys tackling, just in case a pass was popped. Even Jarryd only used to do that every now and then. Since that day it's something I have always looked for but it just doesn't happen much at Parra. If ZDC brings even a bit of that, although it would be tough from hooker, then I'd say give him a shot.

this is how I would use Sandow. His acceleration and ability to dart around would be beneficial here. A bit like bowen.

Now I hope reece does this

And that was evident last week against us, he (Slater) does everything 100 miles an hour but can actually process it at the same time and he just looked a million times faster than our players. He is a class above anything we have!

It really is depressing how shit we are and have been for so long.....
