Teams done this year

I think this warriors team is a bit different to previous failings mainly due to foran. When Johnson decides to go off the reservation and only get a touch to offload it to someone running and inside ball to a jammed defence for 0m gain or get plenty of touches only to prance sideways across the field and stifle anything that might be on they have foran to play the direct game and get positive plays happening. Had guys there before to "steady the ship" in the halves but not someone like foran who pound for pound strength wise is a freak and burst tackles, make 20m hitups himself when nothing is on and has to take on the line and score tries himself in the red zone. Jeff robson is a good example, very limited abilities.

Not sure if its Foran's influence but Johnson is doing far less of what you mention this year too. Maybe its confidence from not coming back from a broken ankle in the of season as well.

I definitely see the Warriors in the 8 but I think it's player driven as opposed to coaching genius. If Kearney has any man management skills then that is what he should trade on as they have the spine players to put them right in the mix in spite of any question marks on his coaching ability. If not, give Doyle a clipboard and have him front the players as he seems to be a bloke they greatly respect.

Every team is done this year. The NRL has decided it is the Broncos turn and will create new rules as they go to make sure it happens.

The other teams are just figgting for the chance to have the bunker steal a grand final win from them. Im going with the Storm at this rate.

It really does feel like the NRL has been watching the AFL model closely (i.e. the AFL picks which team they want to win to help promote their sport) and I fear that they've decided it's worth a go this year to try and bring a premiership to the "long-suffering" Broncos fans who have had to wait a decade...

George Gatis (born 25 March 1978 in Townsville, Queensland, Australia) was a professional rugby league player who played in the National Rugby League and Super League competitions. His position of choice was hooker. After a few overcoming injuries, george quit football and took over management of his family business 'Simply Tops Seafood Bar', a big charming Greek style fish and chip shop that to this day boasts the best Greek style calamari in QLD.

Knights, Rabbitohs, Tigers & Panthers.

Tigers could make the 8 but too much infighting.

Titans on the borderline - shame the NRL took the 2 points off them against the Broncos.

I write us off doing any damage in the finals if we make it

If we make it we are making up the numbers and scraping in just.

Next year top 8 has to be a complete minimum

Changing coaches and stripping the guts out of a squad can take time.

Our situation is different though

It's not a Newcastle rebuild where our current squad is full of 20 year olds

We've resigned 2/3 of our most important players and bolstered in Matulino, renoylds and mcqueen for next season who are experienced campaigners

I was implying it was closer to Canberra's. The rebuild took us two years.

After being around the playing group the hunger just aint there like it was last year.
In fairness Franky it would be hard to get "up" again after last year. Put it this way, last game was the first game of this season that I cared about. I reckon they'll kick into gear soon and get the drive back.
I predicted the Roosters to win the comp back in January. A little shaky but I'll stick with it.
