why would you put a playmaker on the wing ?

Hayne needs to get the ball in his hands which he wont do if he plays on the wing

Uate had a whale of a game I thought from the wing :)

Let Dugan get smashed taking the ball back, Give Hayne a roving role from the wing in attack, especially when we are inside their half

Hayne exposed Tonga massively putting away Joel Reddy of all people the week before Origin.

Imagine how Willie would have gone with Hayne feeding Michael Jennings.

NSW selection policies have been costing us for years.

Might just be me, but I'm a massive fan of having the winger ON THE WING - especially when attacking the opponents line. You kind of want them there for the spread/ kick/ etc to score a try right?

Makes 0 sense not to have Hayne at fullback - all it shows is that Ricky is geniused.

No room for Darius in the Qld side then?

He's done alright from the wing on the 9 origin games he's played in that position... winning NSW man of the series twice playing there.

What a shame Mick Gordon is unavailable. Even if Sticky hates Hayne, I wonder what he could have said about gordon cause he'd do a better job than Morris, and he has the right attitude, (if that really is the problem).

Gordon is quality - ergo, he'd have no place in the side under Dick.

yeah he has, but I reckon NSW would be much better off is he was closer to the action and got his hands on the ball alot more than a winger would

While that is true, there is no way Stuart will drop Dugan so realisitically the only way Hayne will get a spot in the side is if it's on the wing. And that's better than nothing because NSW really need him.

What's that got to do with it?

Darius is an excellent player, but he's not Billy Slater.

Neither is a 'playmaker' when compared to Hayne. If I had to fit all 3 in the same team, Hayne would be the fullback because he has more strings to the bow in attack from that position.

We can only hope someone bites Dugan's pinkie off in the next Canberra game or something? Because, solid as Dugan might be, what NSW really needs is for Hayne to be the FB.

We won't win the series without him there.

Mind you, plenty of people have been saying that since 2009...

they seem to be the ones with the attitude problem

they didn't mind his attitude when he was named of the series last year

It is interesting that the attitude thing keeps popping up though......regardless of what we think, maybe he does have a poor attitude?

Did Hayne not return Ricky's call? Maybe Ricky is cut?

Ricky has been known to get a bee in his bonnett. Remember when Guru got picked in a large Kangaroo train on squad ? He figured that he was 7th or 8th winger in line, so he decided to stay in bed.

Sticky took it personally x 100.
