Telecrap debate: Bring back Hayne ?

If Boil Boy got injured i'd have no doubt Stewart would be straight in. Sticky will not pick Hayne this year fullstop. Lets hope Hayne makes a c**k out of him tonight.

Not only Stewart, but Ricky will probably have Mini, McDonnel and McKinnon in there before Hayne, because he likes the shape of their A...., I mean, because they play a better Fullback Shape (ie, because they aren't skilful).

Stuart is too arrogant and too proud. His comments in regards to Haynes original omission were ill conceived and poorly thought out. He has left himself nowhere to go but to leave Hayne out of the entire series.

I hope they pick him but then Jarryd just tells them to stick it and declines to play. Better yet, Jarryd should publicly states that he would love to play for his beloved NSW, but can't in all good consciousness bring himself to do so, due to Ricky Stuart coaching out of his depth and he needs to go back to park football and learn how to coach at the elite level, with the prospect, if he does well enough, to be once again considered in the future.

I would love for Hayne to come out and say that he thinks Stuart's best role is as an oxygen thief and he will only play for NSW when Stuart takes on that role full time.

I have developed such a loathing for him and his chief fluffer Gould, that I actually cheered on Wednesday night when Slater scored the final try. i can't believe I have come to that, chiefly because of these f**kwits.

Stuart basically presided over the Sharkies going from top 4 material to perennial cellar dwellers through his team selection/retention and he is now responsible for ending the drought. not in this lifetime.

As much as everyone would love someone in Jarryd's position to tell Stuart that he is a Muppet of the highest order, or to turn his back on SOO if he was selected, we all know that it would spell the ultimate end for him in Rep teams, he would end up with such a black mark next to his name that it could blot out the sun.

I am sure that Jarryd knows this too, so he just has to play the game and hope that Stuart's tenure is short lived.

I was day dreaming out loud Grail. the best thing Jarryd can do is play like the champion he is and prove Stuart is a complete knob jockey.

Yeah, you may have been daydreaming out loud, but there have been plenty of people saying this very thing....

Here's Jarryd's big chance (and Ricky's chance to select him without losing too much face...).

Also every bit helps for our game v the premiers on Friday night.

Brett Morris injury puts Jarryd Hayne in NSW frame

PARRAMATTA star Jarryd Hayne may be recalled to the NSW Origin side after Blues winger Brett Morris injured a hamstring playing for St George Illawarra yesterday.

Minutes after Brett Morris had raced 50m for a runaway try, he hobbled up the tunnel and did not return for the second half against Wests Tigers at Kogarah.

Scans today will reveal how long he will be sidelined but it is expected to be one or two weeks.

"As soon as I caught the ball I knew something was wrong," Morris said.

"I knew I was in a bit of trouble and if you're not 100 per cent, you have to get off the field.

"If I had stayed out there I would have been a passenger.

"With Origin around the corner, the scans are pretty important."

Next Sunday night, NSW coach Ricky Stuart will name his side for Origin II on June 15.

If Morris is unavailable, Jarryd Hayne would come into serious consideration for a spot on the wing.

"I hope the selectors show faith," Morris said.

Asked about his mix-up with fullback Josh Dugan, which allowed a Queensland try last week, Morris said: "It was a miscommunication.

"Ultimately you can't have those things happen on the field. But what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

"Everyone was upset. No one likes losing State of Origin."

Dragons coach Wayne Bennett revealed some good news about Morris at full-time.

"It is a strain, not a tear," Bennett said. "He might be right in a week or two. It started to tighten up."

If Jarryd is more of a 5/8th than a fullback, surely he is more of a 5/8th than a winger??

If Stuart selects him, he's admitting that his halves couldn't create points last week - which they couldn't.
I'm betting that Stuart is looking for any excuse to get Hayne back into the team - because he has already realised how impotant we were without him.

I'm absolutely loving the massive hole Sticky's setting for himself. So much so I find myself feeling 0 passion for my beloved blues.

Hayne should be there no doubt. The selectors show "faith". Well they certainly don't show faith in punting Jarryd after he's been our best player without a doubt over the past 4 years.

I think Morris will be in the Blues side though... Ricky Stuart is very stubborn and that's his letdown as a coach.

Yeah, Stuart cornered himself by going public with some reasoning to justify his selections. He should have originally just come out and said that he liked Dugan's temprament better than Hayne's, and felt Jarryd needed a rest after lowering himself to a headbutt.

I don't think it will say much about the halves at all... Hayne is capable of amazing things from the wing in Origin (and when he used to play there for us), why not include that in your side in addition to whatever your halves and fullback are creating in the middle?

If Morris is injured, then even stubborn Ricky couldn't go and pick pick another winger over including Hayne in that position? Morris' hammy is now Ricky's perfect excuse, provided he doesn't get his foot in his mouth trying to over-explain it again.

Indeed Bart.

If Morris "is" injured, it'll be very interesting to see how Dicky tries to explain himself.

why would you put a playmaker on the wing ?

Hayne needs to get the ball in his hands which he wont do if he plays on the wing

It's ridiculous.

He's the best player available for NSW, and not only do they not pick him, but they think about shunting him out to the wing...

Can we have another 4 month inquiry after going down 3-0 again please?
