I'm not trying to get into a flame war with you and I just want to have a civilised discussion so don't resort to name calling.
Bob McCarthy was quoted as saying something along the lines of Scott Prince probably wouldn't be picked. There was no "if he wins the grand final" he may be considered or any other window left open. They may be forced to change their minds now but that was what was said.

Also you said the selectors were accountable. I find this argument highly irrelevant. No matter who they pick Australia will win in the Tri-nations anyway so I don't see how they would ever be held accountable even if they picked a team based on reputation rather than form. Unless you mean accountable for the injustice in more deserving players missing out on their chance to represent their country because of bureaucratic rubbish.

i don't particularly give a crap who is selected in teams, but i won't abide a cretin rubbishing selectors when in the case of the players picked, they all contributed to winning of the series (origin).

perhaps some computer expert out there in b*tchfest-land, can inform me on just how fulton, mccarthy & co have let us down in either origin or tests.

If you notice the argument we're making isn't about origin but about the test team. So any argument regarding the origin selections is irrelevant. Maybe you don't give a crap about what players are selected in teams but some people do. They're tired of seeing the same old players get in on reputation when there are players far more deserving. There is a sense of injustice about it. Also rugby league is meant to be a spectacle. Wouldn't you agree that new players coming in fills us all with a sense of anticipation? Nobody is bitching about mass changes. People want the best players to be selected and judging by the comments some of the selectors have other ideas.

They panicked in origin 2 and dropped Kimmorley only to replace him with Trent Barrett at halfback. It wasn't until Barrett was injured as I recall that they picked Andrew Johns as a last resort. Johns went on to dominate the origin series. Nice argument there bitch. Great foresight by your godly selectors.

as i said - write a letter to the league & voice your concerns no doubt the office spike will tend to your problems hastily.
i don't care how many dragons get selected, i've sat through countless seasons & seen good dragons miss out when in form - swings & roundabouts.

for a large portion of this season they have all been in form & because they have done the job they may continue to enjoy the selectors' confidence.

i'm so sorry for you that more eels aren't in the team.
