Dragons started well. 10 nil up after 20 mins with Ryles and Hunt playing well up front leading the way in the forwards. Then along comes Justin Poore. Penalty to the Raiders
cause of Poore within minutes of his entry to the field which leads to a converted try and then another penalty due to Poore and the Raiders get to 10. THe game was there for the taking due to a great start. The forwards were laying on a great platform for the halves and Poore decided to give the Raiders 10 points and the momentumn swings their way.

Browny will definately lose his job and it is thanks to this bloke Poore. No other coach would put up with this ill disciplined player. He may have stats that show he does many tackles and hit ups but his lack of discipline and penalties, mostly when in the opposition half is ridiculous. Today was lost due to 1 guy who swung the momentumn the other way and not the first time.

What makes this sad is the Dragons in the first half had most of the possesion and a completion rate of 17 from 19. The Raiders should have gone in at half time scoreless but thanks to Poore went in at half time playing their worst half of footy down by 4. He literally gave them 10 points on a platter.

This was a huge game for the Dragons. After a good win against a good side in the Titans they lose to the team many tip to win the spoon. It makes last weeks game look like a fluke. The Dragons beat the Titans twice last season yet finished 2 or 4 points from the spoon so it looks like another wasted season.

well pretty scathing report and i have to say a little ignorant really, perhaps Poore gave away teh penalties but league is a team sport and obviously the team wasnt able to defend, if anything shows weakness to not be able to hold out the Raiders

Yeah, that loss was definitely a team effort. Disgraceful really. Apart from Soward and Chase, maybe Ryles & Nightingale occassionally, I didn't see much positive in the rest of the team. It's clear that we can only score off Soward's kicks so he picks himself but I reckon major changes are in order. So much for our "formidable" centers combination - what a joke. The ref made some ordinary decisions in the second half which didn't help but it's going to be another long season. When can Wayne start?

wtf, GO THE DRAGONS!!

Ryles looks tired and slow. I have a sneaking suspicion this will be his last year.

Look I know you guys may think I am hard on Poore but the Dragons started excelent. They really dominated the Raiders. They could not of done more than what they did. THey played great footy, It just frustrated me how it all changed due to one individual.

He really put alot of pressure on the side. THe Raiders never looked like scoring and only did cause of those 2 penalties. THe momentumn changed bigtime. It was just so blatantly obvious imo.

He needs to be dropped to work on his discipline. I have never seen Browny cut him once and he has done this type of thing since 3 years ago. It's as if he knows he won't get dropped so he keeps doing the same crap.

Why can Dan Hunt play a full game without giving away a penalty for lying on a player to long and Poore does. Hunt is a great forward and should always start with Ryles.

Then along comes Justin Poore.

That just about says it all Slippery. He has to go!!! It's only due to our weakness up front that Brown has had to keep him there. I'd be punting him and bringing back Ricky Thorby.

Not only does he give away too many penalties, he misses tackles and has absolutely NO effect when carting the ball up. To sum him up, he has nothing. It's been a piss Poore effort from him at the start of this season and his carried on his Poore form from most of last season.

Another frustration, why do the likes of Ashton Sims and others hit career best form when they go to another club?

Probably because he was carrying half the pack with him. 134 metres in hitups, almost more than Hunt and Poore combined.

It's frustrating but it is not a phenomenon peculiar to us - it happens to all clubs. Why is Soward playing better with us than at the Roosters eg.

Anyway in summation I'm not all that upset about last night. We never win in Canberra, and the amount of teams who have won an away game on Saturday after playing on Monday night you could probably count on two fingers. If they bounce back this loss will be no biggie.

Despite being disappointed with the loss, thats a very intelligent post. I agree.

I agree not to many teams win in Canberra especially the Dragons but the Dragons started extremely well and should of gone in at half time 14-0. Canberra were aweful and still got 10 points thanks to dumb penalties which put them in the Dragons 20. Without those penalties they would never of got there.

I'm done.

Until Brown AND Doust go there is no light at the end of the Tunnel.

"The Waisted Years" continue.

Soward has to grow a meaner set if he wants to stear that lot around the 1st grade park.

There is no excuse for a team to play so differently in to halves of football.

Maybe we should send them to a meaningless sweatshop on Parra rd for a couplee of weeks so they can grasp the wonderful lives they live.

If these clown (board) ran a business like they run that lot they'd be sacked - years ago.

Ryles did well and led the pack with runs and offloads
I wasn’t too unhappy with the loss as it has been said, we don’t win in Canberra
Gaz has to take command of the game if he wants the ball and demand that he is afforded the respect that a captain deserves
J Moz also went without the ball
I agree stupid penalties cost as did
Ref’s decisions
Brain snaps by Nighty and J Moz on early tackles when they kicked
Joel Monaghan’s great play down our left
Lincoln Withers’ defence along with Alan Tongue’s
Bryce Goodwin’s courage
Lack of confidence in the 2nd half
Falling back on one-out DH running
We should beat the SCUM if we’re on our game
Glad to see that tool Gallen facing suspension
“I was only putting my hand on his face to help me get up” (or something like that) what a pr*ck!
Carney may have also rattled Saffy with that BS biting charge “I tried to ram my forearm down his throat and his teeth stuck in my arm” Carney the world’s most believable No.7

Im with Slippery re Poore, he is a penalty magnet !

the dumb penalty he gave away first up changed the momentum of the game and the soft tries were just embarrassing, a real dud result after such a promising start, but they are such a confidence driven team you can just feel them dropping their bundle as you watch them IMO
