Regardless of what happens now in this court case it is again first grade NRL players being prominent in the papers and tv for alleged sexual violence against women.
It is bad enough the accused is married and had a kid due in a couple of months, it is bad enough that it was alleged a unit full of blokes and one girl,the common theme is league players and their mob mentality and accusations of demeaning women.
They do not seem to realise that women make up a large proportion of league supporters, they contribute a large amount of money in merchandising sales and other revenue and yet they remain stupid enough to allow situations to develop that lead to headlines such as this.

Ive done that probably about 10-15 times in my life, usually though im feeling so sh*te my memory is the least of my concerns. Definitely possible without the use of illegal/illicit drugs

Its concerning some of the responses to this, as Azz said, its no wonder there are still a large number of rape cases not being reported by victims. So this women got drunk, that doesn't give anyone the right to rape her, regardless of how much she's had.

I dont know weather Laffranchi is innocent or not, but looking at the information provided via the media so far, he could very well be in ALOT of trouble. Can not understand how people can dismiss the case and this woman's claim so easily

I agree, his missus was 8 months pregnant, surely he could have gone out for a couple of hours, and then gone home early. I am not defending Lafranchi, but there is a difference in being a cheat and a rapist. He has put himself in this situation and I am sure he regrets it. From the articles i have read on this, the argument on her behalf is pretty thin, if she was that drunk and can't remember $hit, then whos to say she wasn't the one that instigated intercourse??? He wasn't out with other women, he was at a mates apartment. If we take media reports and quotes to be true, then the women was the one that went to the apartment after being advised not to.

So if a bloke picks up a fatty, wakes up the next morning and discovers that he is laying next to a shocker in the morning at the fat chicks friend's house, has a sore nob and then gets remorseful about what may have happened due to having no recolection.

Sorry but all i can see out of this case is rather soft evidence against Lafranchi, the case against him will get dropped unless better evidence than is reported comes out.

This woman just feels that she has to blame someone (maybe remorse), when obviously she is to blame for not taking responsibility for her actions that night.
Its women like this that make it hard for women who have actually been raped and have very good evidence to prove it. Not this "he said" "she said" crap.

It makes iron clad victims have second thoughts whether to go through with charges or not. Because cases like this one usually get thrown out of court.

Generally speaking, a lack of evidence stops that from occuring
the only way Laffrenchi will be brought up on charges and go to court is if there is sufficient evidence, if there's not he wont... if he didnt do anything untoward then he has nothing to worry about, the evidence (of lack there of) will back his claim, if there is sufficient evidence to lay charges, he could be in real trouble

Either way though, the bloke is a prized jack arse, his missus is at home, 6 months pregnant, and he's out on the piss playing silly buggers with other girls.
