Del Piero had his first training session today and Sydney FC said that he will not make his debut at Budgewoi this weekend vs Newcastle. They say however that

Instead Sydney are close to finalising a friendly behind closed doors against the Mariners next week in which Crook is keen to involve Del Piero to some degree.

Shit that would piss a few off if they did that at an NRL club.

Why did the Parramatta player presentation have first grade up the front of the auditorium. 20s up the back and a bunch of people no players knew in the middle that won all the raffles. Must be great for a youngster coming through to feel so welcome at his own club presentation.
