Problem is we also love the beach and the Eastern Suburbs is congested and way over priced.

It's not overpriced. It's just more expensive. Close to the beach and city, right on the harbour, easy airport access, good schools etc etc makes it desirable. It's congested, but no more than anywhere else. Try Military Road Mosman, if you're game. You move close to the city, the traffic is unavoidable. Same as any major international city really.

Wife will not cross bridge. She loves the East but I cannot justify giving up my brand new home for a semi. My mate suggested this place. He lives in the same street. Obviously I can't buy it now until I sell my own. What do you think ?

I got no issues with that house or area. Your mate would be the best person to talk to about how remote Vaucluse actually is. I know people who have sold there because it's too far away. Peak hour (read: when the MILFS drive the kids to school) it can take you 40 mins to get to the city.

That's why Double Bay, Woollahra, Queens Park are $1m more expensive for the same house.

North Randwick or Kensington would be better value IMHO. The light rail will be there soon too.

Cheers Gronk, my mate loves Vaucluse and is very biased. I should be getting a new gig in Sydney soon and the travel would shit me. I can't get enough of Sydney, I love it.

Wanderers can get 10 000 fans to Brisbane with a weeks notice.
Wallabies have 6 months notice, and can only just half fill the stadium.
Rugby = Australia's No. 5 sport.

Hey Avenger, a lazy 5 or 6 million may be enough to snag this place in Kenthurst....

Thank me later.

Wow, that's nice. I can see the appeal and value. Isn't that guy from the Wiggles who did that house and lost his arse? Anyway, last week when I was in Vaucluse to see that semi my mate took me to Milk Beach and you could see the Hemmes family home called the Hermitage. Apparently that is the most expensive house in the country and could fetch about $80 million.

Smallest crowd Essingdon have played in front of since 1992.
Keep spending those couple of hundred million dollars Vlad. It's money well spent.
On other sports.

Djokovic v Nadal again. Has this now surpassed the Nadal - Federer rivalry? I think it has as the Joker has a better record against Nadal then Federer ever did.
