It's actually not too bad a suburb, considering it's out west. It's easy to get to, undergoing a lot of new development and the people there seem ok.

It's my first home, and I'm pretty excited!

Yeh, my first home was close to Mt Druitt. Very close. (Champagne country). You just keep working your way east.
If however, you end up as far east as Botany, you'd have been better off staying at St Marys.
