I'm not saying i don't want Watson in the side, i just don't think he is a number 3.
He is a number 6.
The chances he has had at number 3 is laughable, but because he gets a hundred once a year he is protected. Again id have Watson in the side just not at number 3.

Agree that I'd rather have him at 6 (or 5 or 7 for that matter). I just don't think we've seen a clearly better option at 3 (yet).

Personally I wouldn't have him in the team, I'd stick with Doolan at 3 and Faulkner when he is fit at 6. Marsh already has a calf injury and wont be long till he is not available again, he was originally omitted from our squad due to injury, then Sunshine broke a nail and let Marsh back in.

Sunshine's batting in the ashes was pretty ordinary and his bowling is military medium, not international standard and he's past his use by date for mine.

If only we didn't have foreign fruit being dumped on us, we wouldn't have this problem.

I think you're being a bit harsh on his bowling. If it's not international standard, then how did he average 30 at an economy rate of just over 2 an over throughout the Ashes? He adds heaps to our attack when fit, and is our most reliable reverse swinger of the ball.....which is very handy on dry pitches....allows the capt to rest the three quicks when needed. He can still fire the ball down when he wants to throw a quicker one in. I don't like the guy, I think he's a prima donna but he can play cricket.

Which one is Big Ted?
Hi Haynzy

The home recording studio is almost complete.
We just need to set up all the fiberglass acoustic panels (we've got 15 of them) and score a few more mics and various plug-ins and we're done for now.

Thanks to supporters providing gifts this is what we now got (most of it has come together in less than 16 months) .....

I can lend you an old Fostex X15 if you like Casper. And maybe an '86 Japanese Fender Tele if you want a sound that doesn't quite sound right. I have '91 Maton CW80 as well, but you're not having that.

I'm sure I just heard the South African commentator just describe the slips cordon when Michael Holding was bowling as a "ghetto of slips".
Maybe I heard it wrong.

Well Haysman still seems to be alive so he must have said something similar...I just went take leak so I missed it.
