No but you can always use the increased equity for other investing...

bingo

you don't invest in shitty rental return areas, that's stupidity right there. You invest in high dense areas or growth areas, where guaranteed rent is 95%-100% occupancy throughout the year.

......and hope that the rest of the market haven't worked out the same thing and priced this into properties in such areas. And pray that someone doesn't change either the scope for negative gearing (i.e. limits the number of properties that merkins can apply this to) or the concessional CGT treatment in the future.

Just watched some mum of 2 from QLD who has put in to go on a one way ticket to Mars in 2023. Takes 7 months to get there and once you are there there is no going back. What a selfish human being. How about abandoning your family so you can have some Martian sex with a group of strangers? I don't think she will be picked but seriously with all the other problems we have on our planet like disease, famine etc do we really need to spend trillions on this Mars shit?

Because in order to ensure our survival as a species we need to expand beyond this rock.

Because throughout our entire history we have been explorers and colonisers and now there's nowhere left to go, and so we stagnate.

Colonising Mars is more important than feeding some poor African kids.

So living in some wasteland with no oxygen in a bubble is the solution is it? Just move to the centre of Australia. Same shit but no bubble required.

Have you been to Central Aus mate?

I love it, some of the most beautiful and rugged land you'll ever see.

Not too many people around makes it even better.

It has as much land as Earth does. It can be terraformed. It can be built on easier than earth because it has 1/3 gravity.

Our future, whether you like it or not, will be based around these bubbles. The Moon, Mars and captured asteroids will be our next homes.

What if you cannot grow beards in these bubbles?

How much will it cost to get the shit over there to build with that you beaut gravity? Do we start mining and forestry there also. It's bullshit. Just make what you already have better. Still plenty of space.

Captured asteroids?

For a bloke with heaps of money, you should know that trillions spent in an area like this isn't transferable to the same amount spent in other areas.

Besides, there will be scientific benefits from apparently whimsical shit like this. If we can't get off the planet the race is eventually doomed.
