I was speaking to a pilot yesterday voicing my concerns over planes falling from the sky and he assured me planes can safely glide into landing without power. After watching this video Im not convinced.

I was speaking to an ant farmer last week, expressing my concerns over the build up of ant droppings in my backyard over the summer. But he assured me they are totally bio-degradable. He also said an ant won't attack unless provoked. But I don't believe him.

So it's on next Tuesday. I have no idea how it will end up. The only way that Turnbull will get the numbers is if he bends over to the old cronies in the LNP and agrees to leave climate change and gay marriage alone.

IF Abbott survives, he better win by a big margin, otherwise instability will haunt him for the rest of his term.

Yes! And we'll win! Um ...... I mean ....... Labour might be voted back in at the next election.

been great today seeing people who wouldn't vote to keep the current government in carry on like they've won something with Abbott potentially about to lose his job. funny seeing as the government these people don't want will still be in power. more funny considering without Abbott the current government has a better chance of not losing the next election (at this point in time).

if I was wanting the current govt to lose the next election I'd want Abbott still their leader.

Exactly ... labor should be desperate for him to stay leader - he's a liability

Not sure what your point is spider. I would just like a leader governing our country. I don't care what side of politics he comes from. Tony Abbott is not a leader. He's a f**king idiot.

Suity.

thats fair enough, suity. I'm talking about people who regularly sprout on their political beliefs like they were school kids.

my point is that a lot of people who are pissed off with the current admin, who have no intention of voting for the current govt and want them out, are acting like the possible change in leadership is some sort of win, when the reality is that it's still the same govt in power. and people who want the country governed by the other mob who are carrying on like their house is about to land on a witch, would be better served come the next election if Abbott was still there, given I think it would take a miracle for the govt to survive.

the tarring and feathering of Abbott by the anti-abbotts has been laughable at times. it's like being back at school where a kid gets picked on by a mob. most people treat politics like a popularity contest while acting like they have deep opinions.

for the record I didn't vote for the current admin (nor labor) in the last election, and if there was an election tomorrow, I wouldn't be voting for the current govt.

This is democracy. We don't want a leader; we want somebody to say what we want them to say and give us the things we want.

That's not leadership.

He's not without his faults, but Turnbull is a bloke I'd be happy with as PM. He's not, at least, obsessed with the 1950s ideology of either political bent.

Agreed. He's one of a very few pollies in recent times I can take seriously. I suppose with his money he's less beholden to people/parties/factions than the rest of the merkins. And if I remember right he's a republican. Remarkable.

Anyway, I'm in a blue ribbon Liberal seat so I'll be donkey voting as usual in the next election. Would be nice to be able to vote for a PM, not just a seat.

The best thing about the leftoids frothing over Abbott is that Abbott will survive...and the leftoids won't know what to do once their birthday party is spoiled.
