The other day I test drove a Hyundai Santa Fe diesel. I must say I have never been more pleasantly surprised in a long time. Talk about bang for your buck. Never thought I would say this about a Korean car. They just need to get rid of that geniused H symbol. It looks dicky and a cheap imitation of the Honda symbol.
Anyone drive a Hyundai here?
I can confidently say that all new cars these days work pretty good and with the 5 year warranties and fixed price servicing, you can't really go wrong. Hyundai have progressed well and now have a build quality rep equal to its Jap competitors I think.
I think safety is the main thing for me rather than styling. I can report that I was zooming out of Kiama 2 weeks ago with a car full and came around a blind corner near Foxground only to be met with a wall of stationary traffic. I hit the breaks and the car took over. It was surreal, like the car said don't worry mate I got this. ABS gripped, seat bets hugged us tighter across the chest & lap and we came to a controlled stop. Cars have come a long way,as it was not too long ago that I would have skidded sideways and ended up wrapped around a pole faced with the same scenario.
