The other day I test drove a Hyundai Santa Fe diesel. I must say I have never been more pleasantly surprised in a long time. Talk about bang for your buck. Never thought I would say this about a Korean car. They just need to get rid of that geniused H symbol. It looks dicky and a cheap imitation of the Honda symbol.

Anyone drive a Hyundai here?

I can confidently say that all new cars these days work pretty good and with the 5 year warranties and fixed price servicing, you can't really go wrong. Hyundai have progressed well and now have a build quality rep equal to its Jap competitors I think.

I think safety is the main thing for me rather than styling. I can report that I was zooming out of Kiama 2 weeks ago with a car full and came around a blind corner near Foxground only to be met with a wall of stationary traffic. I hit the breaks and the car took over. It was surreal, like the car said don't worry mate I got this. ABS gripped, seat bets hugged us tighter across the chest & lap and we came to a controlled stop. Cars have come a long way,as it was not too long ago that I would have skidded sideways and ended up wrapped around a pole faced with the same scenario.

One of the dealer groups I managed, multi franchised out of a Toyota background. They were massive Toyota supporters, they then bought a dealership that also dealt the Hyundai franchise

The Dealer Principal made a point at the monthly group meeting that Hyundai was better built and superior value than the Toyota, there was silence then they started admitting that Hyundai hald moved from cheap and cheerful into a quality product. Funny thing the Santa Fe was the most admired model in the range, that is what they drove as car of choice

Talking of cars, my mate just bought a brand new ssangyong which takes diesel (not sure of model) - he put unleaded in it and drove 20klms. Cost of the stupidity around $7500. Lucky insurance will cover it.

Surprised he got 20kms down the road.

About 25 years ago, I recall some f**kwit putting petrol in an army Unimog. That went down a treat.

But think about this. She might've stuck her finger in his bum. Surely that's not the kind of female-on-male rape a teenager fantasises about.
