For starters, China will continue to increase its emissions by more than Australia's total each year until 2030. We can't be sure what they will do then.

India have stated that emission reduction is not a priority.

So that's 2 out of 3 of the world's largest emitters.

Australia should do absolutely nothing because it will make absolutely no difference. None.

*****

Also, lol @ Gronk's use of the word pollution. It's moral hijacking at its finest.

Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant. Plants feed off it. But the leftoids love using it so as to force their moral superiority onto everyone else

*****

The whole thing is a crock. We should be seeking alternatives to fossil fuels but we should do it because fossil fuels are finite and its a dirty business to dig them up. Not because of so-called anthropogenic climate change, which is absolute bullshit.

The use of the word polluters (never said pollution actually) is not mine, it's the United Nations.

But is it actually higher than that Gronk?

Haven't kept up with the drama about the ABS and incorrect unemployment data. But I thought I heard that they were selling it short?

It has become apparent that the Australian public refuse to let the government tighten its belt and so Labor/Greens will be back in shortly. That's where your business confidence has gone.

Business owners have a bit of a longer outlook than who is the Treasurer. The GFC happened shortly after it became obvious that Obama would be president. Maybe just coincidence.

Abbott has another 2 years Pou. So instead of blaming the opposition, he needs to find a way to govern and instil confidence.

Abbott was the best Opposition leader ever and conveyed a brand of negativity rarely seen in Australia. Yet the economy climbed out of the GFC remarkably well.

Shorten has offered pop gun opposition so far. It's Abbott that is making a rod for his own back here.

Abbott/Hockey can be in government for as long as they like, provided they can get the balance right.

So far their performance has been abysmal.

Reform requires bipartisan support. Alas it seems things have to get worse before voters will accept that entitlement is over.

The paid parental leave thing was stupid and sent mixed messages about government spending, but Gillard's mysogyny meltdown left Abbott in a position where he had to be seen to do something for women.
