Just watching the replay... and Howie can not let Zach Baun leave hey?
LIke i generally understand his reluctance to pay LBs and why that makes sense. And i agree with it... but you can not let this man leave the building. He's such an important cog to this team. He makes so many important plays every week

its going to be a tough contract to do... all pro LB with one year of production, 29 years old
He's gone his entire career without MASSIVE life changing money, he's got 8m of career earnings to date.... so he'll be looking to cash in as best he can... but the eagles dont really have any MAJOR guys coming up any time soon, it would make a ton of sense to give him a pretty strong 2 year deal, tact some void years on or whatever to manage to cap hit. We're going to be able to get out of the Bradbury deal this offseason (yes he's still on the roster!),

He has to be in Philly the next few years. Has to.

So hypothetically, you’d franchise tag him for your fantasy team?

Or whatever, doesn’t matter..

I dont know that i'd want to franchise tag him... and typically the eagles dont use that tag much and when they do it it is to use as a means to work out a long term deal

but if nothing can be worked out, yeah i think i would just tag him and try and work it out a 2-3 year deal that pays him in the top 5-10 at the position but yeah if he has to play the year on the tag. He's too important to let walk

Predictable narrative in the news cycle this morning.

The Eagle need more out of their passing game despite doing nothing but win when it is run heavy and Hurts needs to step up if we want to win the Lombardi.

Meanwhile Josh Allen was excellent in his divisional playoff game, he looked after the ball and made smart decisions letting the Ravens beat themselves. That's how you play playoff football especially in snowy weather

Stats from the games this week

Jalen Hurts
15/20 - 0TD
128 Yards Passing
70 Yards Rushing - 1 TD
91.2 QB Rating

Josh Allen
16/22 - 0TD
127 Yards Passing
20 Yards Rushing - 2 TD
86.7 QB Rating

The criticism Hurts cops is ridiculous. He has clearly been asked to look after the ball and that's exactly what he has done. Does it lead to hesitation and some sacks? Sure, but it also leads to winning. I don't mind if you have the argument that Allen is more capable of winning on his arm if needed but they essentially played the same game yesterday with widely different analysis of performance. Jalen Hurts also beat the rams handily, it was only a change in defensive philosophy and mind boggling play calls that gave the rams a chance. Meanwhile, Allen literally needed a drop ball to survive.

My favourite narrative is that the snow saved us. Even if true, which I don't believe it is, isn't that why we play the regular season? For the right to play the biggest games at HOME for an advantage?

Patrick Mahomes
23-14 win
Passing: 16-25, 177 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 3 sacks
Rushing: 14 yards
98.2 rating | 66.3 QBR

If only we had a way to know what would happen if the Rams and Eagles played without snow... not sure how it would go but my random prediction would be Eagles 37 Rams 20

Go Birds
What a performance... all three phases

Hurts and the passing game was crisp and unstoppable. Saquon and the run game was dominant
The defence showed up, forced the Commmies to go on long sustained drives and made the key plays where it counted

STs (Not you Jake Elliott!) consistently got plus field position on kick offs and returns.

What a win, the eagles clicking on all cylinders at the right time. SBLIX... HERE WE **** COME

Superbowl time baby!

Complete dominance in all 3 facets. I actually thought the commies lost this game on the first drive. They were doing a good job of death by a thousand cuts, converting on 3rd and 4th downs with a sustained drive which is the only way to beat this defence. Then in the red zone (or close to) on a 4th and 3 they go FG. Then we busy out a run for a TD in our first play. From there I was planning where to go for the SB.

Biggest positive was how good Hurts looked, he didn't look hampered by injury at all. Will provide a deeper analysis later after the ongoing AFC game.

Who do we want to play?

Kind of felt the same way... i saw an eagles fan post the Thanos "all that for a drop of blood" meme and its exactly how i felt
4x 3rd and medium conversions, 2 fourth downs, missed flag on hold... and all you got to show for it was a FG? And the response on defence? First play 60 yard td... felt like we were in control the entire game, got a little tight in the 3rd when we had a couple of punts on some busted protections that led to sacks but otherwise we got what ever we wanted on offence and the defence just strangled them

FWIW i wanted the Bills, i think we matched up very well against the Bills and i think we'd have won that game comfortably.

This KC super bowl is a different story. That's one of the best HC's of all time and the GOAT QB. Its honestly not too dissimilar to last SB we played. Where i think our 2-53 man roster is better but they have the better QB and HC and that's tough. If Hurts plays like he played today, we're going to have every chance to win that game though

But this Jalen needs to show up one more time.

Yeah I think we beat bills comfortably too...

But anyways, it's the chiefs and we do have the tools to beat them. We played them two years ago and were beaten by 3 points on a scoop and score and a special teams play.

We have gotten better with Barkley and the improvement on defence and I'd argue they have gotten worse relative to 2022.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want mahomes with the ball late in the 4th in a one possession game but this is the best chance this iteration of the team is going to get even if it's the all conquering chiefs on the other side.

Our last two SBs have been the same as this where we out match the opposition everywhere except QB and TE and we all know one of them worked out and the other didn't.

I believe we can do this.

Do you guys have any worries about a banged up interior line against Chris Jones?

He has a habit of wrecking big games in the final quarter.

Two weeks to get them healthy is going to be key
Jurgens came back in for the 2nd half and was toughing it out but if he played through that i expect he'll be right to go in 2 weeks
Dickerson... we'll see but he's country fed, i reckon he'll play

If anything we will have a rotation available off two weeks break. I expect both will play

We will be fine. Just give the ball to Shayshon Barkley.

I haven't got to them yet. I'm still deep in Instagram reels of Broad Street. Rich Eisen and GMFB will be my first view this evening. They were convinced the skins would win.

The twitter streets were pretty wild pre game
Im used to my feed throwing up random cowboys content creators talking shit before an eagles game... thats par for the course but this was the first time i got the Commies fan in my feed and those boys and girls were VERY confident.

All that shit talk to get a 50 burger put on your head is wild. They'll always have the Hard Rock Cafe takeover though :D

Just watching the Bills-Chiefs game in 40, and every James Cook run is looking good, kind of surprising that he ends this game with only 13 carries. Saquon and the OL can get after these guys up front
