Just watching the replay... and Howie can not let Zach Baun leave hey?
LIke i generally understand his reluctance to pay LBs and why that makes sense. And i agree with it... but you can not let this man leave the building. He's such an important cog to this team. He makes so many important plays every week

its going to be a tough contract to do... all pro LB with one year of production, 29 years old
He's gone his entire career without MASSIVE life changing money, he's got 8m of career earnings to date.... so he'll be looking to cash in as best he can... but the eagles dont really have any MAJOR guys coming up any time soon, it would make a ton of sense to give him a pretty strong 2 year deal, tact some void years on or whatever to manage to cap hit. We're going to be able to get out of the Bradbury deal this offseason (yes he's still on the roster!),

He has to be in Philly the next few years. Has to.

So hypothetically, you’d franchise tag him for your fantasy team?

Or whatever, doesn’t matter..

I dont know that i'd want to franchise tag him... and typically the eagles dont use that tag much and when they do it it is to use as a means to work out a long term deal

but if nothing can be worked out, yeah i think i would just tag him and try and work it out a 2-3 year deal that pays him in the top 5-10 at the position but yeah if he has to play the year on the tag. He's too important to let walk

Predictable narrative in the news cycle this morning.

The Eagle need more out of their passing game despite doing nothing but win when it is run heavy and Hurts needs to step up if we want to win the Lombardi.

Meanwhile Josh Allen was excellent in his divisional playoff game, he looked after the ball and made smart decisions letting the Ravens beat themselves. That's how you play playoff football especially in snowy weather

Stats from the games this week

Jalen Hurts
15/20 - 0TD
128 Yards Passing
70 Yards Rushing - 1 TD
91.2 QB Rating

Josh Allen
16/22 - 0TD
127 Yards Passing
20 Yards Rushing - 2 TD
86.7 QB Rating

The criticism Hurts cops is ridiculous. He has clearly been asked to look after the ball and that's exactly what he has done. Does it lead to hesitation and some sacks? Sure, but it also leads to winning. I don't mind if you have the argument that Allen is more capable of winning on his arm if needed but they essentially played the same game yesterday with widely different analysis of performance. Jalen Hurts also beat the rams handily, it was only a change in defensive philosophy and mind boggling play calls that gave the rams a chance. Meanwhile, Allen literally needed a drop ball to survive.

My favourite narrative is that the snow saved us. Even if true, which I don't believe it is, isn't that why we play the regular season? For the right to play the biggest games at HOME for an advantage?

If only we had a way to know what would happen if the Rams and Eagles played without snow... not sure how it would go but my random prediction would be Eagles 37 Rams 20
