Cope harder, bum.
Say whatever you want to say about Jalen Hurts but make sure it start with SB Champion and SB MVP. Something Purdy will never be.

If you know football lots of average qb's have won superbowls. Marino never won Superbowl but Jim McMahon did (& now Jalen hurts).

Lol, McMahon was a decent QB who got murdered on the field in the 1986 season which resulted in far less production than he was capable of. Literally the dirtiest play the NFL has seen.

Surely you go with Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson as examples of mediocre QBs winning.

Just watching the replay and it cannot be undersold how good Jalen Hurts was in this game and last week
His 4 best games of his career now have come in 2 NFCCG and 2 SBs... talk about a man stepping up on the biggest stage and delivering.

This was a three phase arse kicking. Eagles beat the ever loving piss out the Chiefs in every area except maybe in the run game. The chiefs shut Barkley down and asked Jalen Hurts to beat them, and he beat them like they owed him money.

I’ve now Watched it twice. He was typical composed Jalen. He does enough to win the game, plays safe and takes his chances when required.

dynasty killers, the dynasty begins.
Absolutely amazing to finally get a game that gets Sirianni his flowers. Gets Hurts his flowers. Get this entire team, top to bottom, the recognition they deserve. And BG going out on a high!! Truly not enough words to encapsulate how amazing this team, this run, this roster construction, this journey, this locker room, this fan base, and this magical season is.

I can’t remember the last time a roster had studs from the bench to the field, from qb to 4th string linebacker, but let’s take a moment to appreciate the greatness we just witnessed…

Come back and let me know when YOU know football. It'll be a long wait i reckon.
Enjoy the long off season and the huge Purdy extension.
He'll never be where this eagles team is. He'll never achieve what Hurts has.

Couple of extra shout outs from this game

Oren Burks... all eyes where on him, he got abused in the SB last year with the bum arse niners. But he played lights out. Better coaching, better talent, belief and he did his job

How about Mitchell and Slay... how many times did we even here their names called? Chiefs couldnt get a thing until the back ups were in. Slay and Q locked shit down.

True defensive play of the year zach baun... incredible.

Dickerson, Jurgens and Becton, playing through injury. Toughing it out and kicking arse. And finally Jahan Dotson... barely used, WR3 but made multiple big plays in the play off run to help this team win.

Why is what Dan Campbell or Andy Reid did this year more impressive than Sirianni?
Just gonna jump in here as a Lions fan and say that Campbell going 15-2 with that injury toll is one of the better coaching jobs I've seen in a while, in any sport. The fact he lost the award to O'Connell after beating him twice was craziness but people are taking these awards less seriously every year.

In any case you guys won the one that mattered. Incredible job, that defence in particular set the tone and just never gave the Chiefs a sniff.

We enjoying the news cycle today?

Due to the severity of the beatdown, people that have been death riding this team all year have no choice but to recognise the facts

It is very entertaining

Just consuming every bit of it.
Perhaps the most under-rated part of winning a SB is getting to hear all the mea culpa's by media types and other non ball knowing dickheads who wanted box scores to look pretty.

Or at least the ones with some humility and self respect. That's fun
Even better is the cuck losers (such as resident Purdy fluffier) having to keep that energy whilst the eagles and Hurts prove them all wrong is perhaps even better

"Take Barkley away! Make Jalen Hurts beat you with his arm!"
Ok. You got Barkley to 2.6 ypc, he had 6 catches for only 40 yards. He was largely shut down.
Hurts was 17/22, 300+ total yards and 3 tds

So now what?

So many excuses and so much analysis of why Mahomes was so poor.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not petty in terms of people picking against the eagles. Like picking the chiefs was a reasonable thing to do because all else being equal they have Mahomes... I get it.

It's all the other rubbish all season that makes this glorious to witness.

Skip Bayless of all people legitimately picked us to win the SB in August and stuck with it all season.

If you haven't already seen it, watch today's episode of first things first. Nick Wright has been death riding us all season, he is a legit chiefs fan and the rest of the panel trolled him the whole show. Hilarious.

Mostly from what I've seen so far, they are now giving Hurts the respect he deserves. The man is a winner and has ice in his veins. If not for one unfortunate error and a freak special teams play, he would be 2-0 against Mahomes in the SB. He is 2-2 against him overall now. He has done something that only Brady and Burrow have done and that's beat Mahomes in the playoffs. So I don't care if Lamar and Allen are better passers than Hurts or how good their stats look, he got the job done when they couldn't and until they do, he sits in a category above them.

Bayless & wright are as much experts on NFL as anybody here. Never played, coached or studied game. They are there just to wind people up.

I agree on Burks (well not the bum arse niners comment that's a bit rude haha) and it all comes down to coaching, same with all your other defensive stars, I think your true MVP is Vic Fangio.

I was spewing we didn't sign him as DC, Kyle couldn't swallow his ego and hand him the keys, instead he wanted to micro manage what type of defense he wanted and Vic told him where to go!

Congrats and enjoy it!
