yep - fergo gives up early in the piece, he could learn from that piece of play by covell

although a snail is slow, they can still do good when they finally arrive - like the little steam engine so to speak - toot toot'

The evidence is corrupt.

Where's the missing screens of Mitch heading off Morris and slowing him down so everyone else catches up.

And of course also as Spider stated the one showing Cov on the ground clutching at mid air?

I was very impressed with Toups he showed alot of heart in his chase to.

By the way Brett Morris is off contract this year.

I think we should go for him he can cover a number of positions in the backline.

Cov put himself in a position to be there when Mitch had to make a decision. Thats what makes him a great player.

Brett Morris is a good player, but his hands are even worse than pom.

We have enough vagina fingers in the side as it is

i like cov, and yes, he is very quick between the ears

but its time for some backs that are quick on their feet

the amount of times defence compress on his side and leave him out there because he is not a threat pace wise

I noticed this one too. He definitely showed more pace to get there than what I thought he had.

Although this thread does bring to mind a similar argument a few years ago about Simmo displaying his Super Speed to chase down, I think, Matt Bowen.

wake up DS .
If Cov didn't chase it was a try.
Morris ran the wrong way, Mitch's only shot was to run straight at Morris. ..heading off my arse

Cov read it beautifully by blocking Boyd.
The bloke is a slow ruuner but is a smart footy player.

He had some shockers yesterday but this play was brilliant.

as for clutching at mid air by this stage the play had totally broken down due to Covs positional play.

FMD Cov is quicker on foot the most of you blokes are between the ears.

I accept all apologies. :)

Too right Carch, THE COV is the thinking mans footballer and he is not the reason we are losing. There is room for him in our best side. We just need some pace and heart in the centres.

Maybe Ben "Iron Hands" Pommeroy needs to become another Fraser off the bench and we shove some pace into our backline.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Love the Cov. I'm with you carch 100%. Not only do pictures tell no lies, but years of consistent great service week in week out also tell no lies. Even if it's debated if he had a good game in round 3, he was one of best in rounds 1 & 2.

He makes my side on wits / defence / air / positioning / heart & goal kicking. Find some other farker with speed and that'll be their job. Are we going to drop Gal because he's not as fast as 2poo?

I'll say it again.

Pommeroy needs to move to the right side to use his fend.

The Cov needs to be moved to left centre, smart footballer who will run good lines and get good passes away to a quick man outside him.

But hey lets just persist with the same configuration of backs we have had for years.

It ain't working.

That said, with Green @ half there will be no improvement.

Buster will be back.

Ferguson has potential, put him outside Covell, to learn fro a smat footballer.

Put Simmo (prefer Stapleton) outside Pommeroy who can step outside use him palm, suck both his centre and winger in for an inside ball to Simmo.

Otherwise lets just keep serving up the same crap.
