Preniers, what does that have to do with anything?
fish, the Meckiff thing happened because Richie Benaud was a gutless captain who didn't stand by his players. Unlike Arjuna Ranatunga and Graeme Smith.
Salivor, all the rebutalls I can make to your post, I have previously. Please find them.
El D again brings up a totally useless point, which has nothing to do with casting a player's future, career and integrity on the line. Chris Broad is an idiot, and he can join Malcolm conn and co. boozing somewhere, sometime. I couldn't really give 2 sh*ts.
He's done nothing for the game, unlike Murali who is perhaps the greatest bowling entertainer ever.

And it's funny, you guys were giving me stick for my comments regarding gays, yet you have a go at arranged marriages. Which are just great.

In some cultures, family members have enough trust and love between each other as to enable such decisions. I feel for those who don't.

But then again, you have same-sex marriages! Woohoo!

Unlike Chubby Tuna Rubatugger?

Oh no, goony goo goo, the only bowler I have who can take wickets has been caught out as a liar cheating b@stard, I must lead my team off in protest. For the pride of tea drinkers everywhere, and the fact I'm a lard ar$e who can't be fecked chasing the ball all over the shop as the rest of my medium pace trundlers cop a hammering.

Murali is not the greatest bowling entertainer, well, he is if you stuck him in a side show cage and took him around... look, its the fellow with X amount of test wickets who's never bowled a ball in his life.. Murali is a blight on our game.

Arranged marriages? Yeah, we are having a go at people not having freedom of choice. Very restricted life you tea drinkers must lead. I bet its mandatory legislation you must shot put at the bowling crease and cheer on Murali and defend his honour on overseas internet forums relating to sports you know nothing about. I can so see the relationship that has with your countries policy of imprisoning people for their sexual preference, because your people seemingly don't get a preference in their marriage either.

I'd love to hear your rationale for that one.........

Yeah and I blew them out of the water. Face it, the points you were contending were getting less and less anyway. You were defeated now run along with your tail between your legs.

Arranged marriages are just great, now I've heard it all. It's called freedom of choice, you can't be arranged to love someone. Lets face it, most arranged marriages are set up to keep the blood line pure. In the west we believe in freedom to choose our partners without interferrance from our family.

Basically the society you would like would be restrictions on who we can marry, restrictions on what the press can publish and for homosexuality to be a crime. I would seriously reconsider living in Australia, considering it's not a fascist state or in the 1800's, two essentials for any country of your choice.

there was a post here last year of a conspiracy about the incident to which sanjane refers, howerver it was deleted as it was an unsubstantiated allegation, and there was no link to substantiate the allegation

this was not posted by sanjane, rather a member who does not post here (cricket forum) any more

I failed to see any logic in the matter, as Benaud was not the umpire who called Meckiff for chucking

Its an interesting parrallel though.

One guy gets effectively run out of the game.

The other has had rule changes to keep him in the game......

Maybe you could call Benaud gutless for not bowling him more? But geeze, he was only going to be continually noballed in that match, so what could he do?

You're a git who doesn't understand the workings of mainstream subcontinental culture. It all makes sense once you know it.

I, as a person, myself want an arranged marriage. Same with Murali. Same with VVS. Same with the Shaz.

What you call "interference" we call responsibility.

And also look at the divorce rates of arranged marriages vs those of love before marriage type marriages. Which one's higher?

And I can say so much more abt your culture, but I don't pretend to know everything about everyone's lifestyle, so I won't.

Please stick to cricket arguments. I'll stick to my culture, you stick to yours.

And atleast view an arranged marriage, before you comment on it.

LOL Sanjane, give me a little bit more credit, I have actually read some of your older threads, you've already commented enough on Western Culture and proven yourself to be completely ignorant that I'm not going to give a second thought to commenting on your backward culture.

Stated it once, and I'll state it again, you can't be arranged to love someone, simple. But considering your repulsive personality, it's probably the only option you have  .

Arranged marriages work just fine. I personally think they're a great part of our culture.

Probably wouldn't work in a Western society (with your line of thinking).

And yes, you're a little funny at times.....
