WC/Ipswich will have a regional identity. Brisbane will just be another Brisbane.

Brisbane is big enough for 2 sides
if it isn't then RL is not in a very healthy state at all in this city

like I've said ... you call em Ipswich & people in Brisbane won't follow them
only the 100 odd thousand in the Ipswich area
& even some of these people .. from a low income area will struggle to .. having to travel 30k's minimum to see them each week ... :sarcasm:

Regarding the Western Corridor bid though. Today the WC bid is a stupid idea. In ten years it maybe viable when the Springfield area has further developed.

I think South Queensland is the name the Western Corridor bid will use.

Can't use Western. It's too vague for a national team when there is already Wests (which should officially be called West Sydney) and WA Reds on the way.

Can't use Ipswich. Ipswich has a terrible public image problem to the rest of the region. No one in the greater Brisbane area, including Logan or Springfield, will support a team named Ipswich.

South QLD is the only real option.

I agree with the SQ or SEQ name being used

As outlined previously Ipswich and Logan do not have a good reputations in the minds of residents outside those areas, Brisbane is already being used and Western Corridor is just too vague.
