The Big Bang Theory

Does anybody watch this show? I've tried watching it twice, and honestly believe it's the worst show on tv. Cannot fathom how it's become so popular, it's just one garbage nerdy cliche joke after another, and gets far too much run time on tv. Your opinion?

It's an alright show, but it's not one that I watch religiously.

It does get repetitive though, in the sense that it's all about Sheldon and his long-winded way of explaining everything.

You would have to be pretty dumb not to get it. That's the reason it's so succesful, it can be appreciated by anybody.

I don't think BBT is full of brainy jokes at all, in fact, almost the opposite. What it is, is f**king funny.

QI is funny too but in a different way.

Terrible show ! I watched it once, thought it was ok and then watched it a couple of times more and the illusion was shattered. I really want to punch sheldon in the face !

On a related note Im kind of getting over HIMYM, its just dragging on too long and getting too cheap. I will however continue to watch it because I have came too far to give up now!

How I Met Your Mother is the most god awful, brain numbing bullsh*t on television.

The most predictable 'jokes' I've ever encountered.

BBT is like Monty Python by comparison.

I was forced to watch it one procrastination-filled day when I was at the missus's place and she was at work, and it was basically the only thing on the hard-drive that was connected, which I am not technologically-savvy enough to change.

I'm not sure if it was because the alternative was studying, but I watched the first ten episodes in one day and really enjoyed it.

Then the other day(post-exams) I tried watching it again from where I left off and whilst it was watchable, I didn't really dig it as much.

In summary, I'm yet to decide, but I'm glad this thread was made because I was wondering if the show had been discussed on this forum...
