Bevan was nothing at Easts, and The Fox simply quit Sydney and went home.
While that may be true, it was a completely different situation. It's not like they went from the Queensland Cup to the NRL in 2011, the Queensland Cup was a much stronger competition comparatively back in the 80's.
I mean, Meninga was already a Test and Origin player when he signed for the Raiders, and the same can be said for Wally.
