Mate the commentators said 'is that a tip off from the bunker?' It was pure speculation. We wouldn't be having this conversation if they don't mention the bunker. The pocket ref was trying to signal the main ref immediately. It was the correct call either way so no point complaining.
Is Luke Patten vision impaired?
That's a rhetorical question, right? Google image him.
What happened in the Titans game?
How the Bunker didn't intervene when that second ball came on the field and influenced the play is just bewildering. They do it to reverse calls made by the on field refs whenever they like yet they let that slide. Were they having a f**king smoke break?
As above, Lyon grounded in goal but was allowed to exit without being told to take a drop out. Irrespective of whether you think the decision was right or wrong, the process was absolutely a reversal on what Tony Archer said should happen no less than a week ago. And then was not consistently applied in the same game on the opposition. I would like to hear the Minister of Justification defend a clearly botched process.
A second ball on the field.
Kicked by an attacking player at a defender contesting a bomb.
Defender drops bomb.
Refs say 'there's nothing we can do'
Knights get the scrum feed and score. End up winning by 2.
I fail to see how this influenced the game?
 It was quite pathetic that they couldn't do a thing about it. Perhaps common sense courses are needed for some of these referees.
The bunker really dropped the ball there.
Fortunately, there was a second one on the field.
If the ball carrying arm/hands touching the ball on the ground in the in-goal is always a drop out, any time a player picks up the ball in goal it's a drop out.

Cowboys v Manly in the 2012 finals. Manly ground the ball in-goal trying to pick it up. Thurston asked the ref why it wasn't a drop out, and he said something about it not being intentional grounding. Though I've never heard that before or since.
