Anybody watch Season 1 of Arrow...

For a CW show (my wife watches Vampire diaries etc) I thought it was amazing...

Especially that Finale... Season 2 starts this week... so amped...

I got about five episodes in before I had had enough.

I was the same... went to America for a month and didnt watch any of it... when i came home I caught one of the later episodes and it had gotten a lot better...

It improved vastly as the season went on. If I wasnt such a GA fan Id have ditched it long ago but Im glad I stuck it out.

Im hoping Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D follows the same pattern because the 1st 2 eps were terrible

So I've heard... i think people can be quick to jump and jump off of tv shows nowdays....

I am sure agents of shield will improve, I mean Arrow started off very hokey but it showed potential and it eventually built up to that potential...

Agents of shield just by association with Whedon I give a massive chance at reaching potential.

but man... that Final episode of Arrow was unlike anything I have seen on TV in a while...

I don't know what people were expecting with Agents of SHIELD. It never really seemed to have anything going for it. They had to break their universe to get Coulson back from the dead for the lead. Just seemed silly. Didn't see any real potential for good characters or storylines.

"Broke their universe"? There is mystery around his return but Id hardly call it unusual given the nature of Marvel ie: comic books

He is either a clone or an android imo and neither would be ill fitting

if the rumors about Coulson are true they are building his character very well to be honest.

I'm hoping the cameo's keep SHIELD running for a few seasons. it'd be a great way to hype the movies and tie them together.

I loved Arrow from the start. but I like cheesie movies/tv shows

Just saw that the extended unrated edition of The Wolverine will be 40mins longer than the theatrical version.
Really liked the movie so I'm gonna get it. Hopefully it doesn't drag things out too much.
I was originally hoping an unrated version would just add some more blood, but there must be a few scenes that were left out and heavily edited down.

I didn't mean that way. I meant that Coulson's death was a very big part of the Avengers film and it kinda just backtracks.

As for Comic Book Universes, anticlimaxes like characters coming back after a tragic death are par for the course.

I don't know much about comics but know enough about DOFP that it's a pretty massive and popular story arc in the X-men Universe.... that trailer, to a lay person such as me, looks f**king phenomenal!
