Exploding cases around here plus Christmas just around the corner has skittled my plans to see Spiderman on Saturday. Going to have to wait until after Xmas now 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Hawkeye had a big reveal at the end…. Love that character!

that episode seriously got bogged down in too much nothing conversation… 45mins long and about 15mins of actual story… SMH

The story itself is f**king good… the problem I think is they have over stuffed it and I can’t see how they can wrap all these storyline’s up well.

unless they do like a 90min finale…
59 minutes

The most comic-booky Spider-Man movie I’ve ever seen, and I mean that in the best possible way. Character interaction is beautiful. Emotional, funny, and impressive action.

and it sounds like box office wise it may have just single handily blown the doors off the pandemic slump… some of the opening weekend numbers I’m seeing are astounding… 😳😳

with the new variant out there they’ve probably sent everyone back into lockdown… 😂😂

No way home definitely was a fun movie
A bit of fan service but I’m not complaining

Not the best Marvel movie but still entertaining

The cinema went nuts when Garfield and Toby appeared
I was on the edge of my seat when the portal opened. That was a bigger moment than anything in Endgame or other MCU films

That scene will remain iconic

Just got back from a session, overall it was a good fun popcorn flick.

Without giving too much away though if you take away the Novelty/Nostalgia factors overall it was a bit meh for mine… I thought the storyline was a bit clunky and the cameo early on was just a tease more so than anything.

Agree on Defoe he was a standout

Yeah, once the hype dies down people will eventually see the movie isn’t as great as some are claiming to be

While I think that is fair criticism, imo this movie did one thing really well.

As someone who hasn't thought much of the previous Holland Spiderman movies, this did a great job of recontextualising the entire trilogy as his origin story in a world of super beings.

Holland's arc in this movie is what sold it for me.

The fan service was a nice to have but O think they nailed the character too.

While I do agree when the hype dies down there will be more negative opinions come out, on 1st viewing this was the most fun I’ve had coming out from a Spider-Man movie.
I also think they used the nostalgia characters enough to actually have meaningful roles and not just there for a crowd cheer moment.

I really enjoyed Spider-man but am bemused by some the of praise it's getting for being "different" than normal Marvel movies, it's not, it follows the exact same pattern (we all know the pattern - trying to be spoiler free so not spelling it out).

I haven’t seen anyone mention that it’s different, and yeah, it definitely follows the MCU formula.

Enjoyed the Hawkeye finale.

D'Onofrio was born to play Kingpin
And more Kate vs Yelena please - those two are great to watch together

DC coming with the motherf**kin’ HEAT!

Love the look of this… dark but not in a depressing Snyder type of way… this looks more like a ‘Seven’ type of horror/thriller film.

looking forward to this.

They’re clearly setting them up as the new Hawkeye/Black Widow team and I am on board for it.

I enjoyed it, I did find the final battle sequence with the trick arrows a bit odd - ‘some of you will be inconvenienced in amusing ways, some of you will die whimsically, and others I’m just going to headshot with an old fashioned arrow’. They were clearly going for comedy, but it was pretty brutal at times.
