Surely a dream sequence? Although would love to see Superman as a villain :D

Maybe, Supes is pretty susceptible to mind control though, I could see that being why they're at odds.

What I want to know is why is Batman wearing an overcoat and cargo pants?

Think I saw it on the Netflix. Worth it?

Haha, not really.
The studio turned it into a vehicle for Richard Pryor who was a massive star at the time, and so there is so much out-of-place comedy thrown in. The opening credits are just 5 minutes of pure slapstick.

Still, if you don't mind wasting an hour and a half or so, give it a watch. At least it's a million times better than Superman IV (although that's not hard).

Actually I have seen that! Superman smashing a bottle of Johnny Walker (God love Super Reeves) and cutting sick on some country arse'd town from memory..

Also, how dare you! Sun man/Nucular finger nails man was the greatest thing of all time. ALL TIME! Insert Kanye meme..

So Thursday morning our time the new trailer is released.

The hype around this makes Civil War look like a romantic comedy

That's because this is the first DC crossover, the MCU is well established and people are used to them existing in the same space now.

and the fact this has the 2 biggest comic characters up against each other
I just hope it actually lives up to the hype. I know Civil War is going to be epic, we almost know what to expect.

I actually thought Superman IV was better than III...

IV was just rushed and could have been so much better if a bit more thought had of gone into it. The whole thing of Superman fighting against nuclear weapons was fantastic. At the time, the whole world was terrified of nuclear war and it could have/touched on that a fair bit.

Also, of note, the only reason why Christopher Reeves agreed to do Superman IV was if the movie touched on the fight against the nuclear arms race. Which he was passionate about. Reeves was a great man.

On the sneak peak, I dare say that's going to be Superman being controlled/influenced by Luthor.

Still working out whether or not to watch the new trailer when it comes out.
I did watch the last one, but I like to go into big movies like this having seen as little as possible. It's going to be tough to keep from watching it though.
I have done pretty well staying away from all the Star Wars stuff, so it can be done.

Both movies had good ideas, but they were just executed terribly.
Superman IV had its budget slashed so much they had barely any money for effects.
And I do think the script for III was better written than IV.

Apparently the original idea for III was to have Supes up against Brainiac, but the studio forced them to put in Pryor, so they made him out to be some computer genius.
