Deadpool was all I'd hoped it would be. Loved the fact it ties very loosely into the existing X-Men universe, loved the constant snide commentary, and really enjoyed the shots at Hugh Jackman :lol:

Will be interesting to see if deadpool, colossus and negasonic turn up in any future xmen movies. I have a feeling Deadpool will feature in hugh jackmans last movie as wolverine

My only critisism of Deadpool was the CGI used for Colossus. His movements didnt flow very well imo

With a budget of only $30M i guess somethings had to be done a little cheaper

I had high expectations of Deadpool after hearing how good it was and it met them. The 4th wall break jokes made the movie

"I'm taking you to see the professor"

"Which one McAvoy or Stewart?"

I loved when he goes to the mansion and makes the joke about not being able to afford to make another X Men film...

I could see both Colossus and Negasonic appearing. Deadpool is a stretch unless he is substantially dumbed down.

He wouldn't be able to do much fourth wall breaking without belittling the significance of X-Men events either. Hard to take the threat of Apocalypse seriously if Deadpool is shattering the suspension of disbelief by reminding us it's all just a movie.

Hasn't Colossus already been used in the X-Men movies? A young american student?

Surely they can't tie this movie in.

Yeah colossus was in the second and third of original trilogy, and DOFP. They offered the role in Deadpool to the same actor but he turned it down when he found out his voice would be dubbed over with some Serbian dudes

Loved Deadpool. Finally a comic book movie that doesn't hold back. If love to see this type of full on violence translate over to the last Wolverine movie and even into the XMen movies too. I think Deadpool could work in the last wolverine movie though could he be introduced into the X Men franchise? Possibly but not as a full time character because of his fourth wall breaks. Maybe a guest spot like Quicksilver in DOFP

Well given that DOFP "reset" everything from that original trilogy then surely that allows for some wriggle room to have new interpretations of characters like collosus.... assuming that Deadpool takes place post-DOFP?
