I"m pretty sure every game we have won has been 13+ except the dragons game.

That was unthinkable in the Ricky days!

And our defence has held up well recently as well.

We are playing tonnes better than any of the 4 years ricky coached us, yes even in 08.

We still have some things to work on, such as our away form and the occasional lapse in defence but we are in a good place.

We may not make the finals, but our over all performances are more attacking and entertaining, our defence has starch and most of all, the players are looking like they give a damn.

Same Melbourne now that Folau & inglis arent there. One of those 2 will win the comp. I do believe our attack is in the minus territory still.

For a start, We've had a similar amount of injuries this year & I didn't say we wont make the 8 so don't give me that.

I think every team that has won the Title over the last 10 years with the exception of last year have all had wonderful attack all year and usually backed up by great defence.

We are not equal leaders due to this run of injuries & a small stretch or bad luck and bad form.

Considering our two biggest wins ever are during kimmorleys days makes me not look at it that way!

So I do believe we are playing better recently than we have in probably 10 years, we need to keep it up, and if we do, we should be playing finals football.

As flanno said, winning creates culture, something ricky was hardly able to do, especially 13+.

I think you'll find Brian smith and kevin moore are his go to guys, not discounting his relationship with ricky but he was pretty snappy to say that he is nothing like ricky in he pre coaching interviews.

And we all know the rumours that he was intending to leave ricky and go to england, leaving his family behind because of some internal frustrations.

I am not sure sure he would be too snappy to thank ricky, he might, but he might not.

I think he'd like to thank Grima and Shepard as well for grooming the NYC players for the last few years as well.

Flanno pulls rank on his coaching staff, and considering he only has a 1 year deal, thats all he could offer Joey.
There were some dirty rumors doing the rounds that Joey fell out with Trent Elkin.
