They reckon the world wide pre booking has almost suprassed the reord of the opening weekend profit, which i think is held by spiderman 3.

Thats the PRE-BOOKINGS, plus all the people that turn up on the days.

Should break records.

EPIC WIN!!

Should be good, I too will be attending gold class viewing (for the first time).

Is it just me or do Superhero movies never get associated with Oscar nominations?

Hmm...

I just got back. It was definitely better than Batman Begins.

Was a little dissapointed though. It didnt really finish if that makes sense? Like they didn't wrap up Joker, and was Two Face dead?

Thought Harvey was good, but two-face was poor. Didn't seem like a real 'baddy'.
I expected a bit more overall, but I guess I read so many reviews I over hyped it a bit for myself.

Still good movie though :)

And yeh, 'The Pencil' was quite good :p

Ending was fine i reckon. I guess two-face didnt really seem too bad, but i thought they got him off to a good start. No way is he dead, he will be in the next one i would think. His face looked wicked too :) He will probably get makeup etc as his character evolves in the next one.

The thing that struck me halfway through was that if the Joker lives, what a shame it will be that Heath wont reprise the role. Dont think anyone else could do it justice (although i thought Heath couldnt do what jack Nicholson did, and i was totally wrong)

Lol I hated his face. Everytime it was on screen I couldnt take my eyes off it lol. It just didnt look right to me, it looked like he was scared on that side instead of scary or bad lol, they eyeball and lip parts were annoying, however being able to see his muscles under the skin was nice lol.

Yeah, I don't think I could watch the Joker again and it not being Heath, I really enjoyed his version and it wont be the same if the Joker is in the sequel.

EDIT: Oh something I wanted to add that I forgot earlier..

I thought the music was brilliantly done in the movie, or is the professional term 'the score' ?

Either way I thought they had the right music in the right situations.

amazing movie...couldn't take my eyes off the screen, despite having some hot girl sitting across from me constantly looking back at me. I'll definately be going to see it again and i recommend it to anybody. Ledger's performance was awesome!

Amazing.

Brilliant.

How many more words ffs - Without doubt the best Batman yet, if not the film of the year.

Jack Nicholson's Joker doesn't even compare.

Lock him in for the Oscar.

Spoliers, eh?

Hmmm... just so I don't get tempted I will stay out of this thread til after Saturday. The paper gave it 4 and a half stars here in Melbourne town... which one of my Sydney friends affectionately calls Gotham City.

Awesome movie. It was hypnotic in the way that you couldn't take your eyes off the screen for the whole 2 1/2 hours...because as corny as it sounds every shot was a visual feast. And the score as mentioned was perfect, it sort of had the movie playing along as an epic opera. The movie was just paced to perfection

And Heath ledger has to win an Oscar for that. His Joker was just about the most dynamic villain ive ever seen and when he chose to be funny it was bloody hilarious. He absolutely owned every second he was on screen and must have had the time of his life portaying the Joker.

I agree that it would be hard to see anyone else as the Joker if he were to be in the sequel. But if there's one person i think could pull it off, not in imitating Ledger's performance, but in creating something similar with the same, erm, psychotic appeal, it would be Johnny Depp.

I would love to see him have a crack at the Joker character. He was halfway there as Sweeney Todd.

Have the cinemas been packed when u guys have gone? I'm seeing it on Saturday, just wondering if I should pre-book
Actually when I went it wasn't too bad.

There were more people than usual but the cinema still wasn't full.

A lot of people turned up last minute, we were lined up outside for about 5 mins and there wasn't such a big line-up.
