Man i've been getting an itch to go watch it again lol.
Coming out of the theatre I had mixed thoughts. Then you think about it and compare it to previous Batman movies and it blows them all out of the park IMO.
:crazy::crazy::crazy:
Ill never look at a pencil the same way!
Ledger was fantastic. better than. That was the perfect joker. theres no going back now. there shall never be another joker in my opinion.he has set the bar as far as movie bad guys go. as a batman fan for years..its what i've always thought the joker should be.
thought the music really built the suspense. supporting cast was excellent from Oldman, Caine and Gyllenhaal. Eckhart was very good as Harvey.
Batman was good. but compared to the joker he was like an understudy. Ledger really nailed it.
see this movie. twice.
FFS. the pencil. Insane.
The ending. well.
i say..end it with the joker swinging off the rope and the swat team. you didn't need the two face bit at the end. it was not that good in my opinion and would have been better if you were left not knowing..ala the sopranos when the screen just goes blank. maybe have a shot of him with the family but end it there. keep teh character and really develop him later on. thy kind of killed him off unecessarily in my opinion.
On Two Face..i think Harvey Dent was a standout character..but two face was a bit lost. i actually preferred Tommy Lee Jone's Two face..having said that his look was more based on the comic books and the animated series which i had grown up on. I think the real problem was that to have Harvey Dent you have to have Two Face and i feel he was a little underdone.
also. i think whilst the look was more dark and realistic with the burns..it kind of reminded me of terminator. however i liked the way they did the whole sequence of him getting burn. i expected him to get the burns when the barrels tipped over and they be all chemicals that burnt him to sh*t and he was found like that. the whole sequence of the jokers capture, interview and then the proceeding chaos was the best part of teh film for mine.
having said that the hosptial was f**king great.
in any case i will see it again.
also, who was the bank manager with th shot gun. i've seen him before in films.
