I might add I do not see how adding extensions to grandstands is 100M, I am clearly ignorant on this topic because 300M for a full stadium makes no sense to me.

$100mill buys you a main stand and an end stand like this. This is what it cost at HBF park to build these about 10 years ago. Around 17,000 seats.

I suppose this just validated my point. You can buy 100 houses in Sydney for the price of those 2 stands. I clearly do not understand the work it takes. It just doesn’t add up to 100M in my head.

Chris Minns isnt backing stadiums either. There will be zero funding for us or manly or anywhere really for the next decade. We can only hope for some random to back it but highly unlikely.

Really sad cos I gotta be honest I am hating the place the last few games I was at. Never thought I’d say that. I’m on the northern concourse GA and it’s horrendous. Toilets are a f**king disgrace and gross.

I love the place dearly but it’s a dump on a swamp.

Regardless, without the cash injection, the only chance to hang in there is playing games at home and hopefully SFS.

You younguns don't know what a shithouse footy shithouse is. You should of experienced the visits to the SCG Hill dunny under the famous Scoreboard. It was horrendous. On a good day you only had to walk through 2inch deep pools of piss to reach the urinals. Well I think they were meant to be urinals. On bad days it was up to your ankles, you walked on tippy toes.

Arrhhh the memories of the days on The Hill and scampering over and around the packed in punters to finally make it down the pit to have a piss. Priceless!!!!!

Wonderful days watching blues on the field and blues on the hill. Sitting on the grass watching the 20 minutes softening up period.

I was a young bloke on the Hill near the Sheridan Stand end one day watching a test match I think. Anyway is was a packed sell out crowd there. Our group was about half way up the Hill. Next minute the mob on the hill side of the path all started to stand up. It just snowballed and row after row stood up to watch the game obscuring the view of those that were still seated behind them.

No bullshit, all of a sudden a bloke not too far from us stood up and let fly with a length of timber, it looked like a tomato stake you have in the veggie garden. Yeah so it flies through the air and WACK!!!! right into the back of this bloke standing. Well he immediately turns around and yells "What gutless prick threw that?" About twenty blokes just pointed at the qhunt that threw it and yelled He did, He did, He did.

The guy just beelined straight through hurdling those sitting between him and the offender and then commenced to punch piss and pick handles out of him before all the Hill Crowd.

Bonus entertainment at the Footy. Loved it.
