Cavoodle (Cavalier x poodle)

Bought it from a bloke in breeder in bathurst. I've actually run into 3 dogs in the 2 years we've had him who were his siblings

Yeah, I've got a schnoodle (schnauzer x poodle). Looks a lot like yours.

Yeah the poodle genes tend to bury most other breeds when they mix em. I am looking at a schnoodle for our 2nd dog.... although the wife needs a fair bit of convincing to get another one.

I know a couple of other families with schnoodles, and they all have lovely temperaments...the type of dog that runs around with you in the backyard, but you could trust with an infant. Our one has never even gone close to biting anyone.

Had our one for eight or nine years now, and while I originally wanted a rougher breed(we had to go a poodle cross because there's a couple of asthmatics in the house, myself included), you couldn't really ask for a better, friendlier and more manageable dog than ours, and like most pet owners I wouldn't trade her for any other dog.

I imagine the temperament is probably the same with most poodle crosses.

Sounds about the same as ours.

He will run around all day if you want him to, but equally if we are bludging it on the lounge in front of the TV he'll just curl up at your feet for however long you are there. The non-shedding thing is definitely a plus as well. We are immensely lazy round our place with cleaning (only the wife and me in the house so we can afford to be since we don't make mess to begin with) so getting a dog that was going to drop hair everywhere would have been an annoyance.

The main thing I want from a dog is companionship and the ability to rough them up a bit without them having a sook. My dog ticks those boxes so I'm happy.

I prefer cross breeds myself.

It takes just as much energy to get 2 purebred dogs to f**k as half breeds so really I don't see the point in a premium for ANY kind of dog.

I have two female dogs. Different breeds. Similar size. They try to hump each other... :/

No Twizz, for me they have to be of the same species, have a penis, a pulse, and be unrelated, I have much higher standards than dogs and cats.
