Which rule is that? 10 minutes in the bin? Two first grade clubs not knowing the rules of rugby league, along with an NRL official, does not pass the sniff test to me.

Home timekeeper can overrule the away timekeeper.

So in this instance, if this match was at Brookvale the Storm timekeeper would have no right to overrule the Manly NRL appointed timekeeper?

What makes sense there?

So what’s the bet that the NRL send out an apology and that’s it? No points taken off Manly, no compensation for Melbourne, just an apology. I’ll be surprised if anything else comes from this

Because the sin bin doesn't actually go off the game clock.

Yeah the time doesn't start until the ref blows time on, but any further stoppages have no affect on the sin bin.

So if a player goes to the bin, 30 seconds later someone else breaks their neck and there's a 20min delay in the game to get the player off, you saying the binned player is back on before old mate is carted off on the medi cab???

Really?

So if there is a stoppage due to serious injury 1 minute in to a sin binning and it takes 9 minutes to stretcher the player off, the sin bin is over?

It started with a refs f**k up.
Koroisau should have been sent off and Walker shouldn't have been binned at all.
He was an instigiator. Manly should lose the 2. If walker hasn't escalated proceedings none of the other issues would have transpired.

So players shouldn't sledge and try and get under the skin of opposition players??? always play nice hey...

Walker is a big mouth no doubt, mind you most players who get sledged don't king hit..

Imagine is Ennis got whacked each time....

If it was an escalation every time a player trash talked there would be no game as it would all be penalties. You cannot get sent to the bin for talking shit to the opposition, surely?

Walker escalated the situation initially by running at Scott and giving him a shove.

Looks like he can dish it out but he can’t take it.

It'll be the usual stuff. Refs boss, Greenberg will say they stuffed up and then zip. Zero accountability.

Always pondered whether as fans we should force the refs - or at least the refs boss - to front up to the press to explain decisions.

Had nothing to do with the refs

Lol cant handle it...how many players handle being king hit,,,so every player who mouths off and shoves someone should be king hit right?

The only party who didn't stuff up was Melbourne, which called it out straight away. As far as I'm concerned the NRL is guilty of gross incompetence, and Manly is guilty of cheating by either knowingly sending players out ahead of time, wilfully ignoring Melbourne, or both.
