Why the f**k do you need a stop watch though. There’s a huge scoreboard at each ground with the game clock on it.

This is just how it's done at some of the uni league games I've been to, figured the NRL is just as simpleton as that.

Will get this straight - we were shit. But it was 6-4 at the time. Should we score in those two minutes anything could have happened.

I wouldn’t feel right seeing Manly lose points from that, but this can’t go unpunished. Not sure what the right punishment is though

So what’s the bet that the NRL send out an apology and that’s it? No points taken off Manly, no compensation for Melbourne, just an apology. I’ll be surprised if anything else comes from this
Will be surprised if it's anything more than this really. Hard to argue that Melbourne lost as a result of a 90 second short sin bin, their problems were far greater than that this evening.

Eagles will most likely lose points, Its all depending on the Storm who have lodge an official complaint

The only party who didn't stuff up was Melbourne, which called it out straight away. As far as I'm concerned the NRL is guilty of gross incompetence, and Manly is guilty of cheating by either knowingly sending players out ahead of time, wilfully ignoring Melbourne, or both.
I can only think the Storm passed this on to the NRL to manage. It’s why Ponissi was on the sideline telling Richie Cunningham he was wrong to let Korisau back on.
To me that’s where it’s on the NRL, not Melbourne or Manly.
Having said that who the f*ck really knows.

Yep just like nothing came of Melbourne winning the game against the Dragons after the NRL apologised for them being able to play the ball after the siren. And guess how many points the Dragons missed the top 8 by that year. 2 points. And no compensation for the Dragons. I'm sure you were happy about that one.

Oh and that was a game where the result had actually been decided before the f**k up, so you couldn't use the excuse that we didn't know what would have happened otherwise.

If the NRL appointed official says you are good to go who are you to argue?

This should not have happened regardless of who's to blame,,, a supposedly professionally run sport cant control 10 minutes,,,

This is why people are pissed at the sport, how many games have been a speaking point post game about the refs or administration lately

That's a bit drastic, cheating? If manly didn't have a time keeper, They were relying on one. Every player in every sport in the world would return to the game upon been told by an official to do so. Wilfully ignoring? The timekeeper was the authority in this situation. Why should manly obey Melbourne?

You are being a tool, at least wait for the facts to come out before you call a team cheats.

He was an instigiator. Manly should lose the 2. If walker hasn't escalated proceedings none of the other issues would have transpired.
It was scott who lashed out first then Walker retaliated but pushing him back. Scott then went along and hit him with a cheap shot. Walked shouldn't have been binned.

This.
The Dragons were ripped off far worse than the Storm were tonight.
And all we got was ‘oh, we are sorry, we’ll try to make it not happen again’.
It’s a shit stuff up. I feel for the storm.
But manly won that game fair and square.

Manly can't lose points for an nrl official mistakenly allowing them back on with 1m 41secs left to serve. It's the nrl appointed official filling in for Manly not having one that is to blame but I don't think it's that big a deal. But it will of course inevitably become a crisis to suit the agenda of a couple of dimwits.
